2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 Zeswaft (1139) - Seattle, Washington, USA - MAR 27, 2006
This beer really has nothing going for it. It has an ugly all malt aroma. Flavor is malty and somewhat like popcorn. Buying this is my contribution to the Katrina Relief
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 murrayswine (101) - Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin, USA - MAR 27, 2006
The beer pours a nice true amber color with a nice 3/4 inch head.
The smell is rich with butter, slight hops, bread hints, and toasted cashews.
The taste is nothing to jump about, it isnt bad, but it isnt spectacular. It’s obvious that Turbodog is the Abita Flagship. It has a good hops sense, but the butter cream is watered out. As a session beer goes, this is as mild and tepid as it gets, a good landmark Louisiana Brew, but jump for Turbodog first.

Nice taste, good light amber, good everyday beer. Easy to drink. Good pour.
2.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 roder60 (1234) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 18, 2006
Pours a slightly hazy orange with lots of bubbles and a small amount of white foamy head. Aroma is very much of caramel malts with a slight hint of honey and pine. Flavor is very sweet and caramely, almost no hop flavor. Finish is flat and caramel. Overall, not very good.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 chargerfanjess (116) - San Diego, California, USA - MAR 14, 2006
Extremely light amber. Light toast very lean almost watery. Not much carbonation. Can not believe its 5%. Easy to drink.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 TheBeerOrg (1979) - Crestwood, Kentucky, USA - MAR 9, 2006
Pours golden with a thin foamy off-white head. Aroma of toasted bready malts, cracker crisps, caramel, and some cereal malt. Taste is bread dough, crystal malt, and a touch of cardboard. Mouthfeel is a bit watery with soft carbonation. Thin and rather uninteresting, but not a bad beer. Missing the big and bold malty flavors of a true Vienna. At least this is easy to drink.
2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 drainey (233) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAR 6, 2006
12 oz. bottle. Clear red/brown body with a small whitish head. Slight aroma of caramel. Mildly sweet taste, drinkable, but nothing special.
2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 sethdude (653) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - MAR 1, 2006
Wowsers. What a let down. Is it just me, or do crystal malts skunk easily? The first brown-bottle skunk I’ve ever encountered. Aroma is sweet, skunk, and honey. Flavor is initially quite sweet, then hop grassiness, a nutty flavor, and not much aftertaste. A let down.
