Better than expected. rich, smooth amber with a foamy head that puts out the fire of some cajun crawfish.

UPDATED: SEP 22, 2005 This beer can taste decent under the right circumstances -- when it’s fresh and the planets align. All other times, it’s just blaaaah. Lacks a little in the carbonation department. Watery at times, sticky in others. Notes of nuts and tree sap. Mild bitterness wasn’t enough to stave off the lingering sweetness.

A decent beer, smooth consistency, good color, tastes a little sugary. Too light for me, but I’d have a few more.

to me, all of there beers end with a ’clear-water’ taste - odd? this was o.k.

BeerLimey (2135) - California, USA - FEB 12, 2002
UPDATED: MAY 29, 2003 A little too light on the palate and tastebuds for my liking, although I'm not really a fan of amber lagers. Nose invites with clean malts and floral hops, but flavor doesn't achieve much of note. Bready, malty, yeasty and toasted and hoppy in the finish but overall a little too clean.

UPDATED: AUG 12, 2003 Light amber color with a beige head. Has a malt and caramel aroma and flavor. But there is some off flavors too.

Ugh. This is not good stuff, even on tap in New Orleans. Has weird off putting cidery notes dancing around a sweetish, very thin malt character.

Average beer. Tastes alot like Killian’s Red to me, but a bit fresher. I wouldn’t order it on purpose, but when on Bourbon Street and its a choice between this and Bud, choose Abita. :)

Not bad, but nothing special. Fairly smooth, better as you go along. I unfairly sampled after chili dogs, but it didn’t taste all that amber to me, or the character couldn’t stand up to the dogs. It is positively orange, though.
