Barrios (852), Nashville, Tennessee, USA Jan 17, 2009 Updated: Apr 13, 200912oz bottle. Pours a light tan head that fades and a golden amber body. Smells of hops and malt. Fading caramel and bread flavors. Rciesla (3510), Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA Jan 14, 2009 Bottle. Pours an orange golden body with a 2 finger white head. Sweet simple malty body with some light nuttiness and a hint of hop bitterness to finish. Sub-par. arventresca (334), Greenville, North Carolina, USA Jan 1, 2009 Draft. Amber with nice white head. Aroma of malts and hop essence. Not really a top not amber lager in my opinon. Taste was average at best. Not really digging much from this cajun brewer. jrmac (210), USA Jan 1, 2009 Over all drinkable. However nothing extraordinary or remotely special to see here. GodOfThunder (855), Orlando, Florida, USA Dec 31, 2008 On tap at the brewpub... and everywhere in New Orleans. Caramel malt aroma and a fairly strong malty taste. This isnt a bad amber ale. I would call it slightly above average. It goes well with a giant plate of oysters. DrDavid (957), Johnson, Vermont, USA Dec 29, 2008 Bottle. Mild sweetish aroma. Amber body, light brown head. Mild caramel flavor, with some nuttiness. Pleasant. willblake (2160), Belcamp, Maryland, USA Dec 28, 2008 20081228 12oz bottle from RB Spirits. Amber color with medium off-white head that lasts and sheets lace. Nice looking stuff. Aroma is lightly toasty, lots of barley notes, caramel. Very mild flavor, maybe a bit bland, not unlike the other Abita stuff from this variety 12-pack. Finishes clean, not much hops, mostly smooth, mildly sweet, and without any off flavors. A decent example of a generally uninteresting style. troopie (851), USA Dec 18, 2008 Bottle. Poured red amber with thick lasting white head. Sweet aroma of malt and caramel. Rather thin flavour, more caramel and malt. Thin finish with a bit of pepper.
