| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 27, 2009 Bottle from Santa. Pour was amber in color (lighter side of amber), white colored head, decent lacing. The aroma was strong caramel, some light grass. Flavor was strong sweet caramel (too sweet), some bread, some grass, some off un-clean notes. Lacking the nutty and nicely toasted elements I tend to dig in this style. Mouthfeel was light with a bit of maltiness. Middle of the road to just below average amber lager. ttutony (105), Texas, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 20, 2009 Like others have said, this beer isn’t really bad but there isn’t a lot that stands out either. I wouldn’t turn one down if it was offered to me and it’s still much better than your average mass-produced lager. spencerberus (5), San Diego, California, USA does not count | 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Dec 15, 2009 Served cold in a 32 oz. mug. This could be the beer equivalent of what house wine tries to be - nothing special, nothing spectacular, nothing really bad, no one will hate it but few will remember it. Smooth, light taste, finish is quick & minimal, no bitterness, just as it seems it could get interesting, the taste is gone. RPKLove (17), Astoria, New York, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 1/5 | 9/20 | Dec 14, 2009 The sum of this beer is greater than it’s parts. Although it has virtually no aroma, taste, or tingle to inform your palate that it has arrived, it’s not a bad drinking experience. It’s not offensive in any way, it’s just like water. You can forget yourself while drinking one. GranvilleTim (531), Granville, Illinois, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 13, 2009 Light amber pour with a white head. Nice light malt aroma-some sweetness, caramel. Taste is crisp, clean. It has hints of caramel and is a bit creamy. Left a nice lace. brewski519 (439), Morrisville, North Carolina, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Dec 12, 2009 Served at Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen in Bedford, TX. Poured a deep yellow with a white head. Aroma of malt and biscuit. Taste was simple malt, biscuit and grass - nothing extraordinary. Tasted good while washing down some awesome oysters and shrimp - not sure if it would make for a great stand-alone drinking brew but it wasn’t a drain pour either. BrewingFan (100), Texas, USA
| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/20 | Nov 16, 2009 Aroma of dishwater? Looks nice, clear amber, high carbonation. Kind of bland malt with a touch of bitterness that sticks to the tongue. Overall, I would pass, nothing to see here. williamherbert (475), Syracuse, New York, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Nov 7, 2009 Looks more dark orange than amber. Not much head. Clear and light-looking. Average appearance.
Nice sweetened burnt malt. Brown sugary. Almost a mild Scotch ale smell. Toasted barley. Sweet and dry all at once.
Striking sharp malt with sweet brown sugar and molasses. Some mild caramel. Like a liquid "Sugar Daddy" candy bar. Sweet but not saccharine.
Thick and chunky, chewy feel. Milky and smooth. Really nice on the palate. Very sweet but not *too* sweet. Really well crafted and delicious.
