Pours a two finger white head that fades quickly leaving traces of lace. Clear amber color. Light carbonation and medium bodied. Smells like hay. Flavor is malty, smooth but nothing special. Clean finish. Best by Oct 23.(gift) 12oz bottle from somewheres in New Orleans.

Small white head decent retention and lace. Clear copper color. Toasty malt nose. Light/medium body. Light malt flavors, not much else. Fairly dry finish.

Bottle shared with barrios at woody’s. Clear amber pour with orange highlights and solid off-white head. Nose of vinegar and sweet corn which follows through to the flavor and is joined by caramel and apple notes. Not bad, but I would take a modela negra over this any day.

There are a few products of Abita I enjoy, but this really isn’t one of them. Awfully light tasting (which can be a good thing depending on your mood) with not much anything going for it either way. I thought it was a bit minerally but it was light as I mentioned with a sweet malty nose. Decent appearance. Not much else.

on draught. This is a translucent amber-colored lager. There’s a predictable malty smell. The initial flavor is sweet and malty and transitions nicely to a fine hoppy finish. But, why is this so watery?

Draught in New Orleans. Pours a light amber color with thin white head. Aroma is somewhat grassy and sweet with notes of ripe fruit, malt, some hints of honey and corn. Flavor is somewhat malty with notes of honey, bread, grass, caramel and spice. Generally light body with a somewhat uninteresting finish.

draft. Nothing really stood out on this, meaning this wasn’t great...but it was pretty well balanced.

12oz bottle(7/20/08)-A dark golden body with a small covering for a head. It has an aroma of malt and caramel. Taste of the same with a little dryness on the back end. This medium bodied brew was an OK amber.
