JF_GRIND (1209), Glenside, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 14, 2006 Listing Abita Amber as a Vienna makes more sense of this beer to me. German style beer with bready, musty flavors. If Abita is targeting Southern craft beer drinkers they may have something here. Light enough to drink in warm weather and enough flavor to satisfy a beer geek.
biznizness (692), Mooresville, North Carolina, USA Sep 6, 2008 Abita really doesn’t impress me, and this beer is no exception. Mediocre at best, just keep moving along when you see this one. Found this one in my parents’ fridge from a mix pack my dad got for Christmas. HopBackDoc (337), Hatboro, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 6, 2008 An amber pour with thin, filmy head. Not much in aroma besdies a hint of malt. Flavor was caramel malts and a very slight hint of hops. Light, watery and thin. Not my cup of tea. TeamTrappist (153), jericho, New York, USA Sep 6, 2008 12 oz bottle. Poured a slightly cloudy dark amber, with a thin head. Light hop nose, and front. Nice strong malt flavor with a dry finish. Not bad. Radek Kliber (3312), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Sep 4, 2008 Bottle 355 ml
Appearance: Clear amber lager with medium light creamy top. 3- Nose: Crystal malts with bready feel , flour with flowery hop ending.. Flavor/Palate : Medium light bodied. Caramel malts. Good set up but sadly this brew felt to thin almost diluted like. Malt base lacked fill. Drying carbonated finish. carruthm (391), Seattle, Washington, USA Sep 1, 2008 clear with little head. Slight malty flavor with a flat finish. Filling palate with high carbonation.
