| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 27, 2006 The beer pours a nice true amber color with a nice 3/4 inch head.
The smell is rich with butter, slight hops, bread hints, and toasted cashews.
The taste is nothing to jump about, it isnt bad, but it isnt spectacular. It’s obvious that Turbodog is the Abita Flagship. It has a good hops sense, but the butter cream is watered out. As a session beer goes, this is as mild and tepid as it gets, a good landmark Louisiana Brew, but jump for Turbodog first.

Thin random lacing... not much. Not a lot of retention either. Toasted malt smell. Not much else in the nose. Smooth biscuity malt taste. A good classic Munich lager. Go southern brews! Amber color off white head that disappears quickly. Nice palate with enough but not too much carbonation. Clean and easy to drink. I liked it. phaleslu (592), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA

Pours amber with a medium off-white head. Aroma: grapes, malt, sugar, citrus, toast. Flavor is more of the same. Crisp, refreshing, and smooth. Small bite at the end- I think the palate can be attributed to the Abita spring water. Paired well with my shrimp and oyster po’ boy. Wulfstan (509), California, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 30, 2007 This is not bad, but not great. It’s a fairly pedestrian and somewhat bland vienna but has some enjoyable taste that does persist and is very easy to drink. It’s amber with a medium off-white head that dissipates fairly quickly to a ring and wisps. The aroma is definitely normal in style for a vienna, but on the mild side: slightly earthy, toffee,, malt and bread. The taste is similar, with only faint sweetness and essentially no bitterness at all. It’s smooth, and the taste that it has persists and is always noticeable evenly through the drink, but it’s overall weak, bland, and not exciting. Hance07 (192), DownSouth, Georgia, USA
