Pours amber with large foamy head. Goes down smooth with a touch of sweet malt but not much else. Not the worst thing you could drink.

12 ounce bottle pours an amber olor, aromas of caramel, grain, and malt. Flavors is the same, slight creaminess to it. Ok beer overall.

Bottle- Pours a copper color with a good head that fades to nice lacing. Mild aroma of roasted malt with some caramel and fruit. Bit of spice and grain. Flavor of caramel sweetness, bit of fruit and spice. Mild bitterness and a clean finish. Fairly medium body, smooth and somewhat creamy. Decent beer, goes down pretty easy. Good for a couple.

Little to no aroma. Amber pour, obviously. Extremely average beer. Similar to Budweiser.

Poured into a pint glass. Copper, transparent with half a finger of white head. Smells like honey and lemon zest. A bit of bitterness, though just enough to notice. A touch of sweetness. Crisp and bubbly at first, a little creamy in the latter half, with a lighter body. A well balanced beer that is appealing and easy to drink.

On tap. Not much to this one. Golden with a fizzy white head. Light bready and citrus aroma and taste with a caramel malt backbone.

Pretty good beer from Abita - I drank this all weekend in New Orleans - easy to find and pretty good from the tap. The bottle was, eh. I’d almost say it needs MORE taste, I was surprised because usually these guys don’t pull any punches! Very decent, anyway, but nothing remarkable. Maybe I’m just not a huge fan of the style.

Not great but seems appropriate for washing down a pound or two of spicy crawfish.

Draft at Sugar Freak in Astoria. Simple crisp lager. Toasted caramel malt profile.

Poured a great deep orange amber color, surprise, with a huge foamy white head. Not great lacing or webbing with this one. Not much going on with the smell, other than it smells like a beer. I’m getting maybe a hint of maple syrup in the draw. Great taste though! Not the most complex brew, but very well-balanced. A little citrus zest, some biscuity malt. Very low bitterness. Very good brew. Easy crossover for the inquisitive palates. Very smooth and one of the better marzens I’ve had in awhile.
