12 oz. bottle pours a clear reddish amber with a moderate and quickly vanishing off-white head . Smells of grains with malt and something sweet like an orange. Aroma is similar, with a touch of caramel. Taste is slightly sweet until the dry hop finish adds a little bitterness. Body is thinner than I’d like, without much carbonation. This is a pleasant, easily drinkable beer, which I don’t regret trying

Poured from a 12oz bottle into a ale mug. Rich amber color. Quite clear. Head is decent on pour, but dissipates quickly. Not much left on the sides of glass. No bubbles from bottom after pour . Malty, buttery aroma, with some copper notes. Taste is quite sweet and a bit of bitterness from the hops at the end. Very light mouthfeel. Not very carbonated.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 DavoleBomb (965) - Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 20, 2012
Poured into a snifter.
4.0 A: Clear light amber color. Two fingers of frothy off-white head. Retention is good and a small ring of lacing is left.
3.5 S: Grassy hops with a hay component. Malts are sweet, lightly grainy, and with a subtle to moderate caramel component. Simple, clean, and pleasant.
3.5 T: Tastes like it smells. Grass and hay from the hops. Perhaps a touch of herbalness as well. Lightly grainy, lightly biscuity malts with a subtle sweetness and a light caramel component. Again, quite clean.
3.5 M: Light body. Good moderate carbonation. Good creaminess for how light the body is. Super smooth.
4.0 D: A well crafted, clean lager. Not a ton of flavor, but it’s definitely an easy drinker.

12 oz bottle. Pours a hazy copper/amber with off-white head and decent lacing. The aroma is mild light caramel and toasted malt. The flavor is smooth light caramel with a slight toast and herbs finish. Not very interesting, but smooth drinking at least.

We have this at my work. It is very popular because it has much more flavor that the other beers we carry. A local favorite.

Amber is a Munich style lager brewed with crystal malt and Perle hops. It has a smooth, malty, slightly caramel flavor and a rich amber color.

Poured from a draft into a plastic cup on a riverboat on the Mississippi River in New Orleans. Color was murky light brown. There was roughly an inch of head, maybe slightly more. Lots of lacing on the top that lasted throughout each pour. Some film on the sides, but not that much. The plastic probably contributed to that.
First smell that came to mind was roasty malts. Bready and grainy as well.
Tasted fairly similar to the nose. Roasty, nutty malts. Definitely an amber. Pleasantly bitter.
Full body. Thin texture (from memory). Lively (moderate) carbonation. Abrupt finish (from memory).
Not a bad beer overall. It was either this or Miller Lite on the riverboat and of course I stuck with the Abita Amber. It also felt right drinking this on the Mississippi.
