This is a very nice example of the style. Aroma is lightly toasted malt. No hops or yeast. Color is a beautiful light amber. Sparkly. Medium light body wit moderate carbonation. Taste is grainy rich and malty while staying light and not overly sweet. Finish is a little sweet - should be a little dryer. Refreshing but not boring.

Draft at the surfrider cafe. Santa Cruz. Pale amber coloured pour with a fine white head. Aroma is corn, light red Berry, sweet nutty grains. Flavour is composed of raw grains, corn, sweet malts, adjunct, red fruit. Palate is light and thin, moderate carbonation. Bland .

Taps clear dark amber with a thick and rather persistent creamy eggshell head that leaves generous lacing. Aroma presents fruity and malty notes, not strong but serviceable. Flavor features malty and pomme tones, typical but enjoyable. Mouthfeel delivers OK, if slightly slimy, body and good fizz. Not terrific, but worth a try - have one with dinner or during a game.

Aroma: mostly bready with a little malt; Appearance: clear amber with frothy head; Taste: light bodied, pretty forgettable and watery; Palate: smooth, empty finish; Overall: not impressed. Not necessarily bad, but would not buy again.

Tasted this in New York on the 19th September 2015. Pours clear amber in colour with a white head. Thin mouthfeel and decent lacing. Short malt present in the light aroma. Robust malty backbone with hints of caramel malt. Short bitter aftertaste. Malt in the finish. Nothing special.

From the bottle the beer pours a caramel color with a nice head. Aroma of nuts, toasted malt and caramel. Taste has some caramel, bread and a mild sweetness to it. Very average beer.

Well-made Munich lager out of Louisiana. Not especially exciting, but I’m surprised it rates as low for the style when it’s so clean and well executed. Nice-looking - colour as advertised, good head retention. Mild, mildly underwhelming aroma of sweet malts. Very clean both in aroma and on the tongue. Low bitterness. Hay, faint caramel, vanilla, bread. Lovely creamy carbonation. Can imagine sinking a few of these on a steamy day on the bayou. (355ml bottle from Carrington Cellars, Leura)
