COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Abita Andygator®, a creature of the swamp, is a unique, high-gravity brew made with pale malt, German lager yeast, and German Perle hops. Unlike other high-gravity brews, Andygator® is fermented to a dry finish with a slightly sweet flavor and subtle fruit aroma. Reaching an alcohol strength of 8% by volume, it is a Helles Doppelbock.

A little disappointed by other reviewers. In my opinion this is an excellent beer. Of course taste is subjective but I’m getting exactly what the description calls for. Subtle sweetness balanced with a very light hop flavor and nice undertones of fruit. A very good beer that is not over powering in flavor. Alcohol is a different story these guys will sneak up quick watch out!

Bottle in NOLA. Malt aroma. Caramel and biscuit upfront followed by more malt with subtle bitterness in the finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a dark hazy brown color. Aromas of bread, malt, and some fruit. Flavor has a touch of sweet malt and clove, I think. Overall, not to bad.

Drank straight from the bottle. Smell is not at all pleasant...something like rotten vegetables. Taste isn’t any better. Sort of fits the name, though. Tastes like a stagnant swamp. Bought a 6 pack and am leaving the rest.

Am I crazy or the aroma smells like light black olives brine ? ,I was expecting some saltiness with the taste as my brain registered olives!, and I was right!, there is some saltiness that my tongue registered all the way through drinking it, nothing great, but its something different to try, alcohol is heavy, and it will get you tipsy !!

Nothing to talk big deal about this one. It was nice and great to drink but just a strong beer from a semi craft brewer.

Bomber, Market Street Wine Shop Uptown. Pours golden, perhaps slightly hazy, with an inch of off-white head. Aroma of sweet grasses, light fruit. Taste is a bit of funky grasses, glue, yeast. It’s not bitter... not very sweet, but definitely sweeter than I expected.

Pours a golden brown. Aroma of is slightly sweet, malt forward. Flavor is caramel, malt. Mouthfeel is smooth, wet, full. You feel the weight of some alcohol. There's some German hops, but nothing very bitter. Finish is slightly sweet, smooth. This is pretty good, and light enough to be drinkable even with the higher ABV. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
