A creature of the swamp, Andygator is a unique high gravity brew made with 2-row pale malt, German lager yeast, and Liberty hops. Unlike other high gravity brews, Andygator is fermented to a dry finish.

This poured a pee pee yellow color with a white head. The aroma is lemons, hay, and cooked veggies. The flavor is malty but kind of harsh with some corn, hay, and some metallic ting to it. Oh man sakes alive I got a whole bomber left of this, alright lets get it over with!

Tasted from a 650 mL bottle purchased in Fort Collins, Colorado. Slightly orange but mostly pale yellow appearance with a white/orange appearance. Very tasty sweet Bock aroma. Big pale malty flavor with the bock taste in there. Flavor has this huge pineapple taste which I don’t think I’ve tasted in a beer before. Quite fruity for a Heller Bock but still pretty interesting. Not my favorite but it is worth a taste.

Bottle. Moderate grain for the malt, herbs and perfume for the hops, light dough for the yeast and background notes of peach, butterscotch and a fruity air freshener. Head is small, frothy turning wispy, white with some fair lacing and is mostly diminishing. Color is hazy, light amber. Flavor starts moderately sweet and light acidic, then finishes lightly sweet and acidic and lightly to moderately bitter. Palate is light to medium, watery with a soft to lively carbonation. Not a bad beer but weird candy aromas threw this Heller Bock off a bit

Haha...was cleaning out an old work notebook and found this review scribbled on a scrap piece of paper. I can’t even remember which business trip this was from. *shrug*. Pour was light golden color with small white frothy head. Aroma was sweet and grainy. Sweet flavor with grassy/hay notes and an imperial pilsner kind of feel to it. Kinda too sweet. Sticky and coating on the tongue. Had trouble finishing the bottle by myself.

Bottle. Pours a nice copper body, clear, with a descent snow white head. The aroma is fruity--sweet raisins, dates and plumbs--with some honey notes as well as a doughy malt backbone. The flavor is a bit muddled. Its a bit too sweet for me (really malt and yeast driven fruitiness), but there is a redeeming doughy malt profile behind the sweetness. On the upper end of medium bodied with medium carbonation. Overall: a forgettable beer, but its not very offensive and is sold at a very reasonable price (under $4/bomber).

Clear gold with losts of carbonation and a small white head. Sweet grainy taste and aroma. The alcohol was unnoticable. Not as dry as expected. Finishes fairly sweet.

Lots of grain on the effervescent pour with hints of lemon and bread. First impression is sweet and grainy but redemption occurs with a slight taste of saffron, honey, and fresh grass. The 8% ABV is well hidden as long as it’s cold. Very drinkable and could be dangerous if one was very thirsty. Not bad, not great, but since it’s from the land of boudin and tasso I’ll give it a thumbs up.

Pretty good. I enjoyed it and it suited my taste. It was recommended by a friend and I am glad I chose it.
