Bottle from Total Wine in Boca. Poured into snifter at home with a thick white head. Golden wheat color with a significant haze. Aroma of bread, hay, bananas. The taste is mild like most hellers with a bread taste and very slight fruit. Dry on the finish with no real hop profile. Very light body, medium carb. Clean and crisp. Not bad.

gregner (19) - Cedar Park, Texas, USA - JAN 21, 2015
Sweet malt aroma with bread and fruit tones. Pours golden yellow with a white head. Taste is sweet malt, some herbal hoppiness. Light and clean on the palate with light bitterness. Labeled a "Helles Doppelbock", but this is more of a strong pilsner. Very drinkable with a well hidden alcohol content.

Oceana, new orleans tap: pours holden with little head. Aroma is sugar and starchy fruit. Taste is mostly sweet. Alcohol is well covered. Otherwise this is pretty meh.

Butterscotch, stewed banana and sweet malts in a generally very sweet aroma. The taste has banana bread and not a lot else. Alcohol not really noticeable. Not bad at all but not highly memorable either.

The Andygator pours with a golden glow and light head, accompanied by a cloying waft of almost overly sweet fruit. The head subsides rapidly but the aroma lingers, stinging the nostrils. From the scent, you would expect the Andygator to be almost overwhelming in it's sweetness, but the flavour is less concentrated than the aroma. Eminently drinkable, but not striking in any way, this ale could become a trap at 8% as you don't notice the strength but could easily drink it all day. Frangimus

A highly drinkable but mostly forgettable pale doppelbock. Sweet and malty with notable alcohol, yet not so that it gets disturbing. A little short on the finish.

Not a lot going on in this one. Light style, with a bit of a swampy flavor.

Golden orange color with a little carbonation. The aroma is light fruit and bread dough. Taste is sweet with an abrupt finish.
