Bottle from Belmont Party. Poured clear copper color with an average frothy off-white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate grainy & hop aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and lively carbonation. Medium bittersweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. My expectations were not met.

hopscotch (8217) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - AUG 8, 2009
Bottle… Clear yellow lager with a mid-sized, fluffy, white head. Excellent retention. Grainy, acidic, grapefruit and lemon peel aroma. Medium to full-bodied and lightly creamy with lively carbonation. Well-balanced. Mildly bitter with slight honey sweetness and a suggestion of tanginess – also, sort of boring and grainy. Finishes gently acidic, delicately bitter and dry.

Very pale golden beer. Aroma is loaded with fusels and corn. Higher alcohols, pale malts and other sweet nastiness. This is a malt liquor, not a doppelbock. Really terrible.

BeerandBlues2 (7418) - Hanover, Maryland, USA - JUN 26, 2011
Sampled at 4th NoVA Summer Brewfest. Pours clear gold with a medium, fizzy white head, medium retention and spotty lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (bread, caramel, toast), light hops (spicy), and a clean lager character. Flavor is malt dominant, somewhat sweet, and clean. Medium body, warmth, and carbonation with a sweet finish.
