1 pt. 6 oz. bottle: Pours bright golden yellow with a fluffy/foamy white head that leaves some lacing. The smell is of sweet grain, somewhat nutty with lemongrass. The taste is of sweet grainy, slightly nutty with a hint of yellow apples, honey, and spices. It has a thickish, syrupy medium body. Medium to high carbonation saves this brew from sickly sweetness. I appreciate experimentation with imperial styles, but this one just doesnít work that well for me. I donít think the beer is poorly conceived. But I donít think that it really works as a style. Nice try but just not my cup of tea.

Pours clear golden with medium tan head out of bottle. Very strong yeast aroma with hints of brandy. Sweet flavor of honey with hint of wheat. Good beer overall. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

From a 650ml bottle on 17/8/2014 (shared by Butz with thanks). Pours a clear olden with a medium head. The aroma features some bready malt and honeyish notes. In the mouth, itís quite sweet with more honey and some bready malt, finishing with a decent bitter kick and just a hint of alcohol. That said, itís pretty easy drinking for 8%. Quite good.

Andygator is nice. This Helles Doppelbock is a nice amber color with no head. Has a smooth full mouth feel with a good balance and nice non bitter finish. Like it but watch out like the bottle says sip don't gulp, it has a way of sneaking up

Bottle at tradewinds. Nose is yeast and toffee sweetness. Smooth big mouthfeel and a bit of alcohol bite. Notes of yeast malt raisins and mild hop acridity. Not bad but not great. Fits the genre nicely. ---Rated via my mouth

Bottle. Pours a medium straw color. White head. Sweet aroma. Flavor is malty and sweet.. Decent body. I may be at odds with some of the other raters, but I found this to be surprisingly good. I wasnít expecting much but I liked it and would drink it again.

12 oz bottle: Aroma has got a grassy hop texture with a nice mixture of nutty malt. Appearance is a clear golden with a hint of amber hue intermingled with a medium white head that dissipates quickly. Taste has got a nice malt characteristic, grassy sweet hop notes, and just a touch of alcohol burn. Plate is medium to low carbonation with an aftertaste with a slightly sticky finish. Overall, Itís a strange amalgamation of hops and malts. Nothing really off putting but decent. Cheers!

Abita Andigator is a big beer that falls short. Fail pour with a flat top but a deep amber color. Light perfumey aroma. Taste is malty followed by a boozy bite with strong perfume hop finish. Andigator is interesting but with a few flaws.

22oz bottle. Pours a golden color with small rocky white head. Average carbonation. Mostly grain aroma. Flavor is somewhat fruity and sweet. Light-to-medium bodied with a crisp finish. Not too shabby.
