Abita Bock is brewed with Perle hops and British pale and caramel malts. Our Bock is similar to a German Maibock in its high malt content, full body and slightly higher alcohol content. Available January-March.

Poured a nice finger and half of head on a clear, dark copper colored body. The aroma is barnyard and and bread in a weird way. The taste starts out with grain, then a malty sweetness and finishes with a white sugar sweet. The texture is crisp with moderate carbonation and medium body. It’s a borderline below average drink. the taste had a artificial sweetness to it and the body didn’t support the style.

Bottle at Stop&Go, San Juan. As Mardi Gras Bock. Amber color, small off-white head, some lace. Caramel, bready notes, some spicey hops in the nose. Light to medium-bodied, even a bit watery for this ABV. Caramel, bread, light spicey hoppyness. Quite close to German dunkler bocks.

Fruit and straw aroma with hint of something almost bubblegummy or spicy. Flavor: booze, malt, some caramel, and slight fruit. Mouthfeel has a nice light coating that helps blend what are otherwise not especially impressive flavors. Kind of an odd beer that I would never be able to categorize on my own, but it has its moments. Drinkable.

Cereal and honey nose, more of the former. Clear amber, medium yellow head, good lacing.Tastes as it smells, with the addition of hay in the end. Full body, moderate carbonation. Not my favorite style, but I enjoyed it.

Bottle - Pours a clear orange with a quickly dissipating head. Decent malt profile, but more an Octoberfest beer. OK overall.

Reddish pour from draft at Bills by the Beach in gulf shores. Tons of off white head. Malty and carmel aroma. Bread and grain flavor with a bitter finish. Not bad
