COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Abita Bock is brewed with Perle hops and British pale and caramel malts. Our Bock is similar to a German Maibock in its high malt content, full body and slightly higher alcohol content. Available January-March.

Courtesy of Papsoe <P> Grassy aroma smells adjuncty. Quite unexpected aroma. Clear amber with a tiny white head. Fore is thin and touches on toasty grains and mild apple notes. Pervasive watery flavor throughout. Very low flavor intensity.

On tap New Orleans Pours out a copper gold topped with a small white head. A nice aroma of light malts. Tast picked up some very good spices and some sweetness. Not to bad.

Bottle. Pours clear dark gold with a dense 2 finger off-white head that faded fast but still left spotty lacing. The nose is light caramel malt and grassy hops. Taste is pretty much the same with some nutty flavor mixed in. Lighter mouthfeel. Just like most Abita brews – uninteresting.

bottle, pours light amber, tall frothy tan head. Aroma is carmel and sweet malts with some booze. Flavor is rich with a metallic carmel maltyness that is sweet throughout with a light bready finish.

Small white head, short lived, touch of lace. Clear gold color. Malty, grainy nose. Med/light body. Lightly sweet malt flavors, not much else. Finish is medium dry. Fairly one dimensional. Thanks to kawa for this trade.

Sampled on tap at Tyler’s. No more consumed as it didn’t do it for me. Bocks aren’t my thing, and this did a poor job of convincing me otherwise. Orange-amber pour, sweet malts and honey. Too sweet.

Pours amber with a short lived offwhite head. Smell is malty with a slightly tart, fruity, doughy, biscuity zing to it, like heller bocks tend to have, to me anyway. Taste is fairly thin with some of the same almost doughy, sticky fruit flavors, but very lightly so. Fairly watery and slightly sweet. This is a pretty unremarkable beer, but drinkable.
