’11 edition. Okay-nothing offensive. Some baking spices and nuttiness with caramel malts on the nose. Taste the same. A bit thin. A bumped up version of this would make a decent holiday session beer.

Unidentified spice on this red brown pour but it is pleasant. Bitter and a little metallic flavor which is quite strange.

Bottle. Dark reddish colour with an off-white head. Caramel, lightly roasted, nuts, cardboard, a bit sourish. Dry finish. Watery and boring.

Amber, clear, good head. There’s some malt there, but a also a surprising amount of nut flavors - such as pecans or with a bit of pecan shell.

12 ounce bottle from Beer Run. Pours a clear amber color with a medium frothy tan head. Good head retention. Aroma of spicy hops, caramel and some toastiness. The taste is peppery, spicy hops with toasted malts. Medium bodied. Kinda bland but not bad.

Pours a clear dark amber and the head leaves nice lacing. There’s a surprisingly big nuttiness to the malt in the aroma.

Bottle, 2011 ed. Dark ruby red, beige foam that really sticks to the glass. Weak malty aroma. The taste is rather sweet and a little burnt. Okay, I guess. Reminds me of classic Swedish Christmas beers, though they’re usually lagers in the Vienna style.

Skunky and a bit watery which is surprising given the alcohol content. A bit of maltiness overall with some sweetness and nutty flavors as well.
