Bottle pours a deep clear amber/red brew with a thin off white head. Scent is light caramel. Taste is earthy and a little bitter. I have already had several better winter seasonals.

Pour is amber with some definite red and copper. Hazy with light foam. Nose is of feight hops and christmas. This beer actually smells like Christmas. I’ll give it some props for that. Tastes pretty poor. Watery, light lagerish, soapy, with some small amount of hops. Mehhh.

Bottle. The dates are not etched in but Im guessing this is a fairly recent bottling/batch. Nose is strong bready yeast, broken vacuum cleaner, fart, light hops, spice. In short, crappy. Thin, grainy and cereal like in flavor.

12oz bottles brought over by Bo for T-giving dinner. Copper pour with a thin tan head that leaves a ring. Sweet caramel malt aroma. Tastes of nutty malts and chocolate. Thinnish palate. Astringent.

gururyan (304) - Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA - NOV 22, 2010
This is the 2010 version, silver label. Pours a reddish brown, minimal head, nice rich aroma. Body is a bit weak, taste is a bit...confusing. Not sure what is trying to go on here, but it’s ok.

Barrios (1243) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - NOV 21, 2010
Pours a lasting ring of khaki head that laces a little with an amber-copper body. Aromas are toasted and spicy hops. Flavor is toasty and hoppy. Finish has a lasting hop note even tho it is thin and watery.

Suttree (3766) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - NOV 21, 2010
This was kind of weird all around. Clear reddish copper with a loose beige head - OK, that’s actually not that weird. But the aroma was bready and...Minty? some other spice? Couldn’t really pin that down. Flavor was , I dunno, meaty? Odd mix of flavors I couldn’t quite pin down. Some cinnamon, I suppose, and a dryish finish.

Pours amber with off-white head and foamy lacing. Notes of pine mostly. Tastes of pine mostly.
