Bottle from Quench! Beer in Silver Spring, MD. Poured 12/15/13 into a glass I drink beer in. Appears like a traditional lager. Dark amber in color, almost cloudy brown. Tall, light foamy head. Great hoppy aroma, notes of citrus, orange. Malty taste, burnt, dry. Citrus front end: bitter, spicy back end. Dry palate, more burnt overtones. Overall, mattwilliams81 said it well, "Taste is more malty with just a touch of hop bitterness. Nothing that really stands out about this one." #RespectBeerBrethren

Orange peel, peanut hull nose, not strong. Clear tea colored, medium cream colored head. Quite metallic, pecan, and cardboard flavor, subtle juniper berry accents. Light body. Pretty disappointing, especially since age is not a factor for this seasonal beer sampled in season.

Clear reddish mahogany, foamy beige head... Aroma of malty wort, spices... Slightly soapy... Flavor is totally boring, watery thin base with rotten spices throughout... Poor effort ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle - Dark tea color with a bubbly head with retention. Has a rubbery hop taste. Some spices. Medium body. There are much better Christmas ales out there.

I donít think this beer was in season, the best before date was marked 3/14/12 (bought on 9/7/14) I didnít see that until after I finished the 6-pack. Nice brown ale, hope I donít die.
