Bottle. Nothing bad but I’m just not a big Marzen fan. Forgettable.

Bottle from Cavie. Light orange pour with a white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, and cinnamon. Taste is fallen leaves in in your dying, dirty, fall yard.

12 ounce bottle, poured an amber color, aromas of caramel, malt, and some bread. Flavor is the same, not the best take on this style, but certainly not the worst I’ve had either.

A nice Marzen. A hint of caramel malt, roasted malt, toast and spice. The finish is mildly chocolate and floral.

Moldy nutty aroma, average beer look with little head. Taste is very beer like with slight nutty flavor. An average beer that I won’t buy again. Sweet light hops.

Bottle. Pours a hazy light amber with a short white head. Aroma and taste of caramel, grains, faint nuts and some breadiness. A bit thin and watery with a slightly dry finish.

12.13.2011 - Houston, TX Bottle Relatively bland beer with not a lot on the palate. Taste is simple but still enjoyable during a football game.

Bottle from my brother. Slightly hazy amber colored brew with a thin white head. The nose is mellow caramel and old fall leaves. The taste has some nice bread crust and a little bit of apples. There is a slightly dusty finish of old library books. This is ok, but nothing special.

Amber pour, mild German hopped bitterness and a bland aftertaste. Hopefully Abita was brewing a clone of a ho-hum Munich cousin. My last new O-Fest of 2011 sends the seasonal style out on a yawn.

Tasted on 10/28/11 from a 12oz bottle purchased in a mix-a-six pack at my local Kroger. Pours a light honey color with a thick off-white head that slowly recedes to rocky lace, leaving thin lacing along the inside of the glass. The nose is caramelized bread malt with just a tinge of underlying vegetal hops. The flavor is not much better, with the bread malt, a vegetal note, and a hint of caramelized orange peel. The body is medium with lively carbonation, and a medium vegetal and caramelized orange peel finish.

This one is a poor example of an oktoberfest beer. not interesting at all. Smells skunky/astringent, light orange hue, medium hops and low malt, light crisp, drank a half and the dumped and moved onto another..
