3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Two fingers of head, with an almost completely clear medium straw colored body. Looks good.
Mild smell. Pick up some pine, grapefruit and honey though. What’s there is nice.
Taste is a nice balance of malt and mild bitterness. The malt maintains a low sweet profile.
Medium texture with moderate carbonation. Fits the bill.
A good pale ale that lets something other than the hops shine.

This is a solid pale ale. Nothing remarkable or outstanding, but nothing repulsive either.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Citrus and piney hops, and bready malt aroma. Hazy golden with a moderate white head, some spotty lacing. Bready malt and light citrus and herbal hops flavor. Light body, moderate carbonation. I usually approach Abita with fear and trepidation, but this wan’t too bad.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Single bottle. Clear golden pour, big off-white head with some serious lacing. Aroma of grass, citrus, a little pepper. Taste starts sweet, then hits the expected citrus/hops notes. Not too bitter. Medium-bodied. as long as you’re not looking for huge hops from your IPA, this is quite good.

Bottle, BOTM Club. Pours clear bronze golden with a small white head. Candy, raspberry aroma - smells a little old. Hoppy bitter taste, rather mild, also orange peel. Light body, sleek, long citrusy finish.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
On tap. A clear, pale orange amber with a resilient white head. Taste is..not much. Hints of caramel. Nice little herbal finish, with a touch of citrus (grapefruits and company). Light to medium bodied. Not a revolutionary pale ale, but it works.

16.10.2012. 0,355l Bottle. Vieux Carre’ Wine and Spirits, New Orleans. @tkk. Golden blonde colour with white head. Nice strong aroma of fruity hops. Malty with medium body. Bitterness is rather fresh and leaves a crisp floral aftertaste. Very nice beer.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
12oz bottle labeled as "Restoration Pale Ale". Pours a murky golden amber with very little white head. An average pale ale but much better than I would have expected from Abita.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Abita Restoration - Golden appearance with average-to-small head and better lacing. Classic APA aroma of grapefruit, pine, and toasty malts. Taste is fruity - bananas, little bit of citrus, and even a bit nutty - less hoppy than I anticipated from the aroma. Kind of reminds me of Deschutes Mirror Pond. Would like more in the aftertaste, but this is a solid beer, and probably my favorite Abita beer so far, along with Turbodog. RB lists this as a golden/blonde ale, which I can kind of see - the hops and aftertaste are a little light for an APA, although the aroma and initial flavors could pass for one. I had someone else sample it, and they thought it was a textbook APA, for what it’s worth. Pretty good beer.
