COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Fleur-de-lis Restoration Ale is made with English Pale, Lager, Crystal and Cara Pils malted barley. We liberally hopped and dry hopped our Ale with American Cascade and Centennial hops and fermented it with California Ale yeast. The result is a brilliant gold ale with a rich body, mild bitterness and a snappy fresh citrus hop flavor and aroma.

UPDATED: MAY 1, 2013 From a "Restoration Pale Ale" bottle 9/2012, pours a crystal clear gold with plenty of head, strong aroma of paleness. Tastes pretty good actually, stark contrast to other Abita’s I’ve had. Sessionable for sure. UPDATE: I stand by my comments and repeat what I said the first time.

I do not wax on poetically about beer but I do know the quality of a beer once tasted. This review is not about my tastes but reinforces the numbers, which are arbitrary.

Tap at brewery. Pours hazy pale orange with white head. Aroma of citrus, malt and tropical fruit. Taste of orange citrus with bitter finish. Slightly bitter. Not that great.

Pours clear golden with a foamy head. The aroma is a lush honey/malt. A sweet honey, malt flavour with just a hint of a bitter finish. I really like that but couldn’t drink lots.

355ml bottle into glass. BIG malt whack on the nose. Hazy golden beer with solid white head. Flat watery mouthfeel. There’s a subdued hoppiness about, then a grainy bitter finish. A bit lame. Inconsequential.

Pine hops sherbet and malt all bang it out in your mouth, doesn?t linger it?s punchiness dissolving, leaving light bitter disturbances over a mellow orange crush of ale. Each sip zings a bit, ok pre dinner sipper.

On tap at Lester & Earl. Enough hops to be an IPA in my mind, delicious and smooth with a slight sweet finish.

Bottle - pours hazy pale orange with a small white head. Aroma is orange citrus, malt and tropical fruit. Taste is slightly bitter upfront, then a orange citrus and soapy slightly bitter finish. Palate is light with a bit of fizz.

Light aroma on this. Lighter yellow in color with light cloudiness. Semi malty start and relatively smooth finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
