Fleur-de-lis Restoration Ale is made with English Pale, Lager, Crystal and Cara Pils malted barley. We liberally hopped and dry hopped our Ale with American Cascade and Centennial hops and fermented it with California Ale yeast. The result is a brilliant gold ale with a rich body, mild bitterness and a snappy fresh citrus hop flavor and aroma.

Bottle, thanks Deepsouth!! Pours a slightly cloudy yellow color with a medium white head. Aroma is of malts, hops and something funky. Flavor is a tad better than the aroma. Malty and hops are present...no complexity but as with most Abita beers I find it prett smooth.

Bottle... Clear, light golden ale with a small, creamy, white head. Sublte nose; almost nondeScript. The flavor is perfectly balanced, but uninspiring. I can only pick up some tanginess up front, followed closely by a laid-back bitterness. Fairly thin on the palate. Medium-bodied with a creamy mouthfeel and adequate carbonation. Medium length, almost tart, then dry finish.

Bottle shared courtesy of DenverLogan. Poured a medium golden color with an averaged sized white head. I really didnít get too much our of the aromas and tastes. Some cardboard, maybe some malts and citrus. Thin body.

Cask version at Winking Lizardís 6th Annual Real Ale Fest (03/22/14): Hazy golden color with a thin white head that dissipates quickly to an outer ring. Spotty lacing. Aroma of hops, citrus and malt. Light-bodied and creamy with flavors of grassy hops, bready malt and fruit. The finish is mildly bitter with a short fruit hops aftertaste. Average overall.

Drank alongside gumbo. It has a cough medicine taste but alsoa smooth orangey flavor that goes with shellfish.

Multiple samples for fun at amateur beer tasting night. Pours a clear straw with a two-finger white head. Not much retention or lace. Aroma is raw grain, white sugar, raw oatmeal. Taste is brown sugar oatmeal, raw grains, extreme earthiness. Similar to Great Lakesí beers. Very nice surprise!

Bottle. Barley malt aroma - slight sweetness. Golden yellow with small head. Sweet barley malt flavor with light hops finish. Okay - better than most other Abita beers Iíve tried lately.

Pale golden beer, quite hazy with a thin white head. Aroma is quite wheaty, light orange peel with some light berryish fruitiness in back. There is also some sweet nuttiness that is a bit surprising is such a pale beer. Flavour is a bit butterscotchy which is probably where the nutty aroma is coming from. Watery palate and moderate bitterness iwth a lingering orange peel/diacetyl flavour. Itís a pretty boring brew.

12oz bottle from the Party Sampler variety 12-pack. Thin white head, nice hazyish dark orange color. Not much strength in the aroma, tastes sort of watered down, although this does make it quite refreshing and drinkable. Mild hops, almost a yeasty lagery taste. Carbonation is a bit too soft. If this does have character, itís too shy to be noticed.
