JFURYCAT (711), East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, USA Mar 14, 2006 Thanks to R. Levy for bringing this bottle from New Orleans back to me in Pennsylvania. It had a nice flowery aroma but the taste had that crisp bitter yeasty flavor I associate with Abita beers. Its a few steps ahead of a macro but it seems light enough to fit the lager and not ale category. Its better than the other Abita beers I tried and hopefully greater things will come as New Orleans is restored. I would definately want this one on a hot summer day as its pretty refreshing.
NJBeerman013 (586), Trenton, New Jersey, USA Sep 1, 2008 Draught. Light amber in color, smallish white foamy head. It has a light, fruity, fresh, hoppy aroma. The flavor notes are a fresh fruity malt character. It has a light body, with a zesty mouthfeel, and a clear and clean finish. Pretty good choice for the heat oif the summer. Biddle_Brau (135), Midland Park, New Jersey, USA Aug 26, 2008 Light amber color with thin head and slight malt aroma. Mild bitterness and little hop taste and mild malt profile. Not much going on, it’s thin on the tongue but basically refreshing. buzzoven (122), Japan Aug 25, 2008 Bottle. Not so good. Watery mouthfull, lacking in depth, void of exciting or challenging flavour, no real finish to speak of. Quite an uneventful "restoration" this turned out to be. Headbanger (975), Aurora, Illinois, USA Aug 25, 2008 12oz bottle 7/20/08-A light amber body with a small white head which emits an aroma of hops and citrus. The flavor is the same with a slight malt and cleanser taste. This light to medium bodied brew is not bad but nothing to write home about. blipp (724), Grand Island, New York, USA Aug 2, 2008 Bottle. Pours orange with an off white head. Sweet aroma with floral hops and caramel. Medium body. Flavor is again sweet with caramel, floral, grass, and a touch of citrus. Not bad.
