COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Fleur-de-lis Restoration Ale is made with English Pale, Lager, Crystal and Cara Pils malted barley. We liberally hopped and dry hopped our Ale with American Cascade and Centennial hops and fermented it with California Ale yeast. The result is a brilliant gold ale with a rich body, mild bitterness and a snappy fresh citrus hop flavor and aroma.

This was an odd beer, but one that I actually enjoyed. Poured to a golden color with minimal head, and had no distinct aroma or flavor that I could identify. On the other hand, there was nothing I disliked abvout this beer. It is one of the first Iíve rated that was just a good drinking beer, with little distinguishing features...neither good nor bad. This would make a good session beer.

GBof A PA-12 oz bottle-pours a foamy off white head and slightly hazy yellow color. Aroma is citrus hops-sweet. Taste is citrus hops-sweet. OK carbonation.

Bottle. Poured a hazy, golden with a medium white head. Nice lacing. Sweet, citrus aroma. Decent mouthfeel. Flavor is malty with a grapefruit kick to it. Nothing fantastic, but a good beer since it supports the New Orleans restoration.

From the Beer of the Month Club. 12 oz. Bottle. Pours a clear light copper with a fluffy white head and soapy lacing. It has aroma of floral hops and sweet malt. Flavor is balance with a good malt profile with floral and citus hops. It finishes crisp and clean with a pleasing mouthfeel. Not great but a nice drinkable beer none the less.

From notes 1/07. Pours a very slightly hazed golden brown. Nose is orange, hoppy, and just generally citric in nature. Flavor is tart and bitter with an almost lemon-like edge. Seems a bit thinner than it could be. Feel is okay. Like I said, a little thin, but it has a nice bubble on it. Drinkable, sure. Just no homerun here.

Bottle. The rating is a lot lower than I expected. This beer was pretty solid in my opinion. Dark pour with a decent sized head to it. Aroma is pretty hoppy. Flavor is malty and has a nice balance with citrus hops. The finish is smooth and Iíd have to say this is quite drinkable.

Short 12oz twistoff bottle. Pours pale golden color. White head with big soapy bubbles. Big hop florals in the nose. Very fragrent. Lots of citrus along with a crisp pale malt nose. Lighter in body than most pale ales. All Abitas seem to be lighter bodied. Unlike most Abitas this one is full flavored. Full malt character. Followed by a nice hop bite. Very tastiful. A pleasant find. Purchased at Total Wine in Orlando.

Easy drinker. Pretty gold color. Didnít smell the citrus but did taste some. Big head with good lacing. Mild is a great way to describe the hoppyness of character. Good for 1st timers trying to get away from BCM.

Not bad, not bad. Having it here in NOLA and itís fresh and good. Poured with a nice off white head and some lace. Color is a very slightly hazy amber. Aroma is malt, fresh cut lumber, hops, caramel, hay. Flavor is like aroma; cascade stands out. Nice balance between hops and malts. Good body and carbonation. Finish is like flavor and on the short side. Could be session.

Aroma of citrus hops with almost a grassy/wheat smell. Crisp taste with a bit of hops, but not too much. Dry, bready finish. A very nice, easy drinker.
