COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Fleur-de-lis Restoration Ale is made with English Pale, Lager, Crystal and Cara Pils malted barley. We liberally hopped and dry hopped our Ale with American Cascade and Centennial hops and fermented it with California Ale yeast. The result is a brilliant gold ale with a rich body, mild bitterness and a snappy fresh citrus hop flavor and aroma.

UPDATED: FEB 20, 2009 Taster at the Balmoral Brewhaha. A sharp, clean northwestern hop hit made me peg this as a Pale Ale. But no, I see it down as a Blond. Very close, either way. The malt base is a little light, and plays well of the featured hops. Regrettably, our taster cups were solid black, so I couldnít tell you much about how it looks, except for a nice skimmer of foam on top. But itís very nice on a warm, humid summerís evening and lets me prepare for the more off-kilter beers at this event.

Decent beer but not exciting. Pale malt and rice aroma. Faint. Dirty golden color with a thin white head. Light palate with strong carbonation. Pale and grassy malt flavors with a slight hops bitterness on the finish. Decent summer beer but not a first choice.

Bottled as Restoration Ale. Itís ok but pale aleís donít travel too well from America to Australia. Probably better fresh.

12oz bottle, definitely light, decent summer brew, lacks some flavor to it, not sure, but again, overall decent.

Bottle 5.2% abv. Promising hoppy aroma. Taste with citrus notes but a watery mouthfeel so it ends up rather dissapointing. A shame.

Bitter aromas, medium bitters that don't linger. Not a bad drop for 4$ a stubble. -- rated via 'Find A Beer' for Blackberry 10
