2.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 9/20 reverendj (161) - Brunswick, USA - JUN 19, 2011
I would expect more from a brewery with ties to one of the world’s culinary treasures. Very bland from front to rear. This is similar to the mass produced "giant" beers from the macros. Guys, if you are going to wear the Fleur-de-Lis, please represent it boldly!
3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 Caytinator (100) - Kaiserslautern, Rhineland-Palatinate, GERMANY - MAY 2, 2012
12oz bottle. Pretty decent beer for Abita’s line. I was impressed with the taste, but the appearance and aroma were a little lacking compared to some other pale ales I’ve had. I don’t think most people would be disappointed at all with this beer if you’re in the mood for this style.
2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 KajII (460) - Macon, North Carolina, USA - APR 23, 2012
Bottle. The pour was a clear light amber with an average sized (1-2 finger) white frothy head that reduced to a few puddles and a small collar of residue and had fair spotty lacing.
The aroma was very mild of a grain malt, floral hops and a mild earthy yeast with hints of a mild caramel and citrus (orange and grapefruit).
The taste was very lightly bitter from start to finish with a hint of orange peel early on and a mild hoppy ending. The flavor was very short lived, fading very quickly after the swallow.
Mouthfeel was light in body and had a watery texture and a super mild carbonation.
Overall a very light tasting brew that had very little flavor other than a very faint hoppy presence, which did not last long...

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 burg326 (1056) - Florida, USA - MAR 31, 2012
12 ounce bottle that poured an orange color, aromas of leaves, and some resin, flavor is the same. Nothing special here overall but still better than a macro.
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 MadIndian (1902) - Levittown, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 29, 2012
Gift from SJ. Not a horrible beer, but what I am noticing with this company is they don’t go the extra mile. Everything is just ok and too vague.
Some notes of grain, hop and bread. It’s just ok. They always look better than they taste.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 jerc (5580) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 23, 2012

Six pack from a convenience store enjoyed by the hotel pool, NOLA

Pour from a 12 oz bottle. Light hoppy aroma, a little grass, somewhat unique and very nice. Medium yellow brew with creamy white head. Taste is very light maltiness at the start with a modest grassy / dry hops in the finish. Nice.
