COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Abita French Connection is a tribute to the French heritage of Louisiana. All of the raw ingredients used in this unique pale ale are sourced from France. It is brewed with French Vienna, Wheat, and Caramel malts. This gives the beer a hazy golden color and a sweet malt aroma. It is hopped and dry hopped with Aramis, Triskel, and Strisselspalt hops, all sourced from the Alsace region of France. This gives the beer a fruity and hoppy flavor and aroma. Finally, the beer is fermented with a special Saison yeast giving the beer a slightly spicy and estery aroma but it still retains the characteristics of a pale ale.

Tap@Abita brewpub. Clear golden color with lasting white head. Grassy, dry hay, Saison spicy yeast aromas. Medium body with average co2. Nice dry hay, bready, dry spice flavors with black pepper, light fruits___nicely drying finish---very tasty.

On tap at BrewRiver. Pours a hazy orange with a thin white head. Aroma of lots of fruits, sweet tart candies, perfume, sweet pale malt. Flavor of light fruits, jam, citrus, lemon, Belgian yeast, peppery spices, clove. Interesting beer- a touch sweet but drinkable, very fruity. 7/4/7/3/14 (3.5/5)

Draft at Global EDW. this is mostly clear and light brown. A nice beige layer is one finger. Lacing remains. A soft yeast and spiced aroma is pleasant. The flavor begins with a farmhouse resemblence. Earth, a bit of funk. Then hops enter that are mildly bitter and floral. Light fruit is added and it is a bit unripe and sour moving the beer into a tart aspect. And then sweeter fruit takes over. Tangerines. I love the multi personality side of this beer. It is not a great beer but it keeps you on your toes.

I had this at Global Brew. Pours clear amber with a white head. Taste moderate hop and sweet. I thought this was pretty good. I would drink this again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tap. Deep golden with small head. Very fruity. Orange and tangerine especially. Some apple as well. Seems a bit artificial. Light hops and some belgian yeast. Despite the fake fruit, this isn’t bad.

Draft to taster. Looks solid; a transparent full gold with foamy off-white head that steadily dissipates into lacing. Smells hoppy, spicy, and a touch vegetal with clear saison yeast notes. Tastes like it smells with an average mouthfeel. Okay.
