COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Abita Golden is a crisp, clean continental lager. Just four ingredients is all it takes: American malt, Mt. Hood hops, German lager yeast and pure Abita spring water. As the name applies, Abita Golden has a brilliant gold color.

A local beer for me. The first one I had was skunked, which shouldn’t happen travelling less than 100 miles. My second one was better, but still subpar, especially considering the excellent beers (bock, turbo dog) these folks produce.

This is a wheat beer that abita produces year round. Apparently the brewery intends on improving this beer in the next few months with it’s new machinery. I had no idea it was a wheat beer untill they told me, but oh well. At times, it is a bit more appeasing than the amber because it isn’t as sweet, but amber remains a better beer. It’s a bit thinner, but doesn’t leave that certain something to be desired like any other light beer. It’s less of a wheat beer than thier summer wheat, but has more body to it than the wheat.

Poured form a bottle....very light yellow in color. Very nice carbonation. The malt aroma is crisp, but not over powering by any means.. Kind of mild flavored and watery to the mouth. This brew leaves me wanting.....

Pretty good, just not a preferred style. Go for their Turbo Dog or even the Purple Haze before this. I would really be into this beer with some crawfish.

Beer pours a funny teal like golden yellow. Sour wheat and bread taste. tastes kind of like taco bell mild sauce with water, white medium head. goes flat very fast and starts to taste like miller high life.

There is absolutely nothing special about this product, especially to justify the eight bucks for a six pack. Standard lager coloration and aroma, not bad. Well carbonated, refreshing, but bland. Usually smaller breweries kill you with hops, but Abita overcompensates in their attempt to avoid that charge.

Another party pack pull, light golden color. nice head but why did it leave so quickly. Easy to drink. I would drink it if you were buying.

A nothing special lager. The hops are hardly noticable, tastes like any macro.

Very thin, with a corny, watery taste. Some people complain about the water in Abita beer- I’m not one of them. But this beer is indeed a bit too watery.

Very simple...I guess if its hot outside something to down without thinking. Lemon taste is somewhat present. More like a weak pilsner. Oh yea, made with "real" spring water. Yum Yum!!
