Dacrza (154), Great Meadows, New Jersey, USA Dec 31, 2007 Golden yellow transparent pilsner body; head is swift in its descent and thins to a partial white... Hallertau hops noticeable and metallic malt is present,...predicatble, but not annoying...slow, effervescent bubbles... creamy, soft palate with a late malt kick... crisp, soft rather unobtrusive flavor... golden, yes--consistent in its modesty and a true member of its style...
ilovedarkbeer (705), Dallas, Texas, USA Aug 27, 2008 Bottle courtesy of Bu11zeye. Golden color with no head. Nose is grass and some light citrus. Taste is almost like pure lemony water with some wheat and a bit of grass as well. A very weak effort but at least they are proud of their spring water. BMan1113VR (779), Los Angeles (and Dallas, TX), California, USA Aug 27, 2008 Bottle thanks to bu11zeye. I think it is this, and not the Golden Ale (retired). Pours a clear golden color with a small, white head. Aroma of grass and lemon. Taste is light citrus and some grass. Thin mouthfeel fizzy. Headbanger (965), Aurora, Illinois, USA Aug 25, 2008 12oz bottle(7/20/08)-Pours a clear golden body with a small ring for a head and has an aroma of skunk and malt. The taste is the same. This light bodied brew would not be bad if you can get rid of the skunk. phishpond417 (1409), Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA Aug 20, 2008 Pours a typical clear golden colour. Head is quick to build and quick to subside. Aroma is light in fruit and hint of floral character. Taste is pretty basic- grain, corn and light fruit. A little grassy midpalate. hopdog (4541), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 25, 2008 12oz bottle. Poured a medim and lighlty hazy yellow color with a small sized white head. Aromas of corn and grains. Same tastes.
