COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Abita Golden is a crisp, clean continental lager. Just four ingredients is all it takes: American malt, Mt. Hood hops, German lager yeast and pure Abita spring water. As the name applies, Abita Golden has a brilliant gold color.

bottle. The perfect example of Abita beer. Utterly boring, yet inoffensive. I can’t imagine someone getting excited about this at all.

04.01.2013. 0,355l Bottle. Vieux Carre’ Wine and Spirits, New Orleans. Pale gpolden yellow colour with white head. Rather weak malty aroma with very crisp dry hoppy flavours. Body is clean, but thin. Flavours of dry grassy hops. Dry mouthfeel, with short dry aftertaste with a sour finish. Refreshing stinging carbonation, notes of metallic flavours. A clean lager.

UPDATED: AUG 19, 2012 A decently good beer. Easy-to-drink with meals, especially spicy, Southern foods. Light taste, a little watery. Doesn’t have corn in it but has a slight corn taste.

Bottle, thanks to my brother. This says it is a helles and has the correct 4.2% abv. The body is a slightly hazy medium gold with thin whisps of a white head. The doughy nose has some raw potatoes. The taste is like bell peppers and dough. A middle of the road bland brew, but not flawed.

Slightly spicy aroma. Generally, not much more flavor than the lagers that you would expect. Slight hops, just tenough to keep it interesting, but still very smooth and drinkable.
