Abita Grapefruit Harvest is a brilliant golden IPA with a subtle zest of grapefruit flavor and aroma that enhances the strong hop character. This bright, snappy brew is made with real Louisiana Ruby-Red grapefruits, pale, pilsner and caramel malts and cascade hops. The strong hop profile and subtle zest of grapefruit make it a good choice with grilled chicken. This brew would also pair well with ceviche or raw Louisiana oysters.

Excellent grapefruit aroma, you will notice it from the first inhalation. The bitter taste is average, first IPA tasters will not regret it. The grapefruit touch makes it unique for this selection. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle @ NYC Craft Beer festival. Hazy pale yellow with very small whgite foamy head, little citrus aroma, low carbonation, strong grapefruit taste, bitter long finish. Interesting fruity beer.

12 oz bottle. Excellent fruity aroma. Suggests a taste that is sweeter than reality. Lightly hazy amber body with a large white head. Some sweetness up front, then moderatly tart and midly bitter. Plenty of grapefruit and more vaguely citrus fruit.

Bottle. This totally hits a sweet spot for me - absolutely loving this. Hazy yellow pour with a white head. Huge aroma and taste of red grapefruit, but not really tart/sour. Just a bit, but more sweet and juicy. Yummy.

Pours yellow yellow yellow with a thick white head. Aroma is citrusy hops and a very distinct grapefruit rind aroma. Taste is white grapefruit that immediately goes to some muted malts and a mellow bitter finish. All of the flavors are kinda rounded off and watery. Nothing sharp about this one.

Bottle - good size foamy head, hazy medium straw color, definite grapefruit aroma and flavor, but a little more on the sweet side of grapefruit as opposed to bitter, fair malt backbone, pretty good overall ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Poured from a bottle. Light golden yellow with white head and some lacing. Refreshing grapefruit aroma with some biscuity malts. A bit of a lager taste to this beer. Fizzy and crisp. Decent citrusy ipa.

Great summer drinking beer. Would buy in bottles to drink out on the patio. Much more palatable than Ruby Redbird. Not too happy for me.

Appearance was hazy gold with lasting creamy white 1 finger head, rings of lacing. Aromas are slight sweet pils and pale malts, then a blast of citrus fruits. Taste are grapefruit upfront then soft middle malt sweetness. The backend is citrus of more grapefruit, lemon and orange, no alcohol. Palate was soft smooth CO2 with light-medium body, then a thin lasting citrusy finish. A solid citrus ipa, but just use more hops for grapefruit.

2/13/15. 12oz bottle from Five Points. Orange pour with a small khaki head. Grapefruit and citrus in the aroma, a bit of caramel, husky graininess. Definite grapefruit in the flavor, a little sweet and bitter, caramel, doughy pale malts, a lingering metallic aspect and grapefruit bitterness. Interesting, not bad.
