COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The newest Abita brew takes its name and inspiration from the Mardi Gras Indians of New Orleans. Looking for Indians on Mardi Gras Day is a tradition for many New Orleans families. A cultural phenomenon familiar to residents of the Crescent City, the Mardi Gras Indians are not well known to outsiders and Abita is proud to help share their story with the world.

12oz screwtop. A drinkable IPA but nothing too spectacular. Too many really good IPAs out there to waste your time with this one.

Copper pour, frothy head, heavy lacing. Winy, hoppy aroma. Low carb, slightly watery, bitter hoppy brew. Some fruity, apple. Acidic and jumpy. Not quite as powerful as I look for in an IPA.

Deep copper color...somewhat hazy. Thick, fluffy head. Citrus aroma, with subtle notes of caramel. Noticeable hop flavor and a touch of malt blend nicely in the front...smooth mouthfeel for the style. Back has a bold citrus tang. Dry hop flavor lingers throughout the finish. An odd, yet tasty IPA...pretty well balanced, with a very unique flavor profile.

Not the best of the IPA category but still a satisfying beer. drinkable, this brew has a golden orange pour and relatively sweet aroma.

This was quite a find. Very, very cheep, but also very drinkable with a look, feel, flavor and bite of much more costly brews.

Golden orange pour with an off white head. Sweet aroma which isn’t overpowered with hops. Nice hops flavor without any lingering bitterness. A very drinkable IPA. Light flavor with a medium body.

Bottle again thanks to MrBunn. Nice ambery copper color with a foamy lacing head. This bottle may be crap.Smell is absolutely awful for an IPA. Smells like rancid butter and dog crap with a light floral note. Taste is incredibly uneventful with a light note of malt and some distant light fruit. Finish is quite bitter and unpleasant. F. Might re-rate in the future.

Poured a copper orange with a small amount of head. Malts, caramel, slightly floral aroma. The taste is a little strange, it tastes of dirt, grass, sour fruit, and a very slight bitterness. I’m not fond of the taste of this one at all or the smell. Very weird and unique IPA.

12 ounce bottle in pint glass. Hazy copper with flat head and a little lace. Toasted caramel and mild citrus aroma. Toasted caramel, nicely understated fruit, something I don’t recognize, and mild finishing fizzy bitterness. Medium body. Drinkable but far from impressive. Middle of the road. re-rate: as it warms it starts to taste like orange syrup. Kinda gross.

Clear copper color with small head. Caramel, grains, citrus and hops. Flavor is more malty that I was hoping for, but not bad.
