3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle from Breeze Thru with a best by 7/20/2014 date. Pours an amber orange with many fine bubbles and a cakey yellow-ish head. Lotta streaky lacing. Aroma has sour fruits, stone fruits, bread and some floral hops. Later down in the glass, some light pine and some biscuity malts show up. Taste is of sweet fruits, spicy pine, some tangy herbalness, some lemon and some toffee. A bit rough. Medium bodied and fairly highly carbonated. Finishes with a muddle of bitter and sweet. Very little clean about this one. 12.8

3.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Transfer from BA review on 5-13-12-
Poured from bottle into pint glass
Appearance – Pours a golden –orange color with a two finger off white-orange tinted head. The head has very nice retention, but eventually fades leaving light lacing.
Smell – A sweet fruity and malty aroma of bread and citrus hop are the base of the smell. The citrus is of both tangerine sweet as well as some grapefruit notes. Behind these aromas is a lighter pine aroma and a little bit of caramel. Overall quite a nice smell.
Taste – The taste follows the nose well. A malty sweetness with caramel and bready flavors start out the taste. These are soon meet with a citrus tangerine flavor. Toward the middle of the taste it bitters more as tastes of pine work their way to the forefront. This pine, in the end, mixed with a light grapefruit and earthy hop to finish off the taste, leaving a rather odd bitterness on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body is just above normal with a just below average level of carbonation. It is fitting for the style, although a little more body and a little higher carbonation may suit respectively the sweet malt and bitter citrus a little better.
Overall – Not a bad IPA, but not the greatest either. It had a very nice aroma and the taste starts out good, but at the end the hop flavors don’t seem to go tougher too well.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pleasant. Drinkable. A little sweet for an IPA. Not as good as the Abita spring seasonal Spring IPA.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a medium amber, with an off-white head.
Resiny, quite hoppy aroma, caramel, spruce, orange peel.
Dry, medium bodied, mid to high bitterness, balanced CO2.
Hoppy, resiny taste, caramel, spruce, grapefruit peel, earth, mango.
Quite watery for an IPA, but on the other hand quite sessionable. (2014-01-31)

4.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Love this beer it is my go to IPA. I consider myself a bit of a Abita Mark and love almost all of their products. It’s smooth with a perfect citrus hop medium. If you are a hopaholic like me this isn’t gonna be the one for you...but if you like to kick back and enjoy a very smooth IPA that is well made and at a great price I would argue this is hard to beat. 2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
From the 12 fl. oz. bottle. Copper-amber pour leading up to a tremendous off-white head that lingers and laced. That is its best feature. The nose is of caramel malts and an earthy hop character but for the type of American IPA I am used to, the hop character is far more muted and laid back. Smooth, medium body. Caramel roasted malts kick in on the first sip with the mild hop bitterness playing up on the end. But there is nothing dramatic about it. Balanced? Yes. But not overwhelming.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Mellow hops aroma. Caramel in color. Lots of tiny bubbles, almost like foam, forms in your mouth on the swig. Slightly bitter then then warms up to a sweet taste that calms on the palate. Very easy drinking IPA

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
This one pours a nice golden color. Notes of citrus, pine, and sweetness on the nose; follow onto the palate. This is a little sweeter than most IPAs I’ve had, but not in a bad way. It works for this beer.
