COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The newest Abita brew takes its name and inspiration from the Mardi Gras Indians of New Orleans. Looking for Indians on Mardi Gras Day is a tradition for many New Orleans families. A cultural phenomenon familiar to residents of the Crescent City, the Mardi Gras Indians are not well known to outsiders and Abita is proud to help share their story with the world.

From bottle to tulip. Cloudy amber color. Subtle aroma. Nice taste at the start but a bitter citrusy strange aftertaste. ok.

Pours a rich amber brown with minimal head. Aroma is malty with a bit of honey mixed in. Taste is initially sweet and ends with a citrusy note. The problem here is not balance but the fact that the flavor dissipates quickly giving a thin impression.

It poured a clear dark golden color with an off-white head. The aroma was of malt notes, caramel, grassy and floral hops. The taste was of medium sweet and medium bitter.

Bottle; Pours a medium, semi-cloudy amber with a light head. A light IPA with a nice finish. If you have a friend who has never had an IPA, a good one to start them off on.

Bottle. Light amber with foamy head. Smells yummy. Even has a little funk. Tastes good to. Seems fairly complex but not overwhelming. I should add this in to the repertoire.

Tap. Surprised I haven’t tried this already. Rather bland with a weak hop profile. Meh.
