3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
12oz Bottle. Noses a really soft, subtle caramel and hops. Faint malt. Some distant yeast aromas. Should have much more aroma, especially at this temperature. Pours a crystal clear orange-amber, with a well-sustaining soapy off-white head. Flavor comes as a surprise. A thin metallic bitterness, some washed out Crystal malt, a bit of pine needle and lemon rind. Light. Fresh. Flavors are just too meek and mild. Hops are mostly as bitterness, not flavor and the malt has too much Crystal in it for my palate. Some celery seed develops on the back end. Yeast delivery is clean, but then it is filtered so let’s hope that’s the case. Meh. My first Louisiana beer, though. Thanks Sean!

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
2013 bottle to a pint glass. Pours a honey amber color with a white foamy head. Aroma is sweet and floral with a little malt and caramel coming through. Taste is subdued for an IPA. The malt overpowers the hops, which is a little floral tasting and only slightly bitter. Mouthfeel is medium and a little slick. Tastes like a well hopped amber ale.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Dancing Camel. Thanks zvikar. Clear amber. Aroma of floral and citric hops, slightly "green", and some malt, slightly honey-ish. Slightly sweetish flavor with malt, a bit of caramel and some hops, a bit "green", with moderate bitterness in the finish. Medium-bodied.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
At the LEAF Festival, an orange-copper pour into the glass, with a wispy head that reduces. Some doughy sours to the nose. The flavors have lots of citrus, sourdough, mixed fruits, dry caramel maltiness and finishes with a clean bitter cut that has a little sour yeast lingering. The mouthfeel is medium with an active carbonation palate. Decent, but a different take on the style for sure. Interesting rating, nonetheless.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20
12oz bottle into a pint glass.
Pours a clear copper with a solid one finger white head. Really good head retention and just a little bit of lacing.
The aroma is a bit on the mild side but has definite garlic/onion notes along with some floral notes. A little earth and pine too but not much in the way of malt.
A big pine/garlic bomb on the flavor which I happen to love. With that being said, however, it fades way too quick leaving nothing but lingering garlic. Really no malt at all and quite one dimensional. Mouthfeel is very watery given the strength while bitterness is moderate.
Overall, a pretty run of the mill IPA that isn’t really worth seeking out. Glad I tried it, though.

Bottle pour clear yellow with orange hue. Nose of floral, pine, and hint of citrus hop. Taste the same, floral and evergreen. Some sweetness followed by a pleasing bitterness. Was pleasantly surprised by this one.

Surprised this is rated as low as it is. Decent IPA, some nice hops to it.

This in my opinion is the worst beer I have ever had. I am a daily IPA drinker and have had extreme amounts of different beers and this is first one I could not finish in several years

Bottle. Pours light amber. Good sized off white head. Aroma of pine. Some lace. Mild bitter citrus flavor. Very drinkable IPA, but nothing that makes me reminisce about it.
