2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20 Ratman197 (7631) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - JUL 9, 2009
Bottle poured a clear tarnished copper with a lasting amber head. Aromas of carmel, earthiness and fruittiness. Palate was medium boidied and smooth with a lightly dry finish. Flavors of carmel, earthiness and light pine with a smooth dry moderatly bitter finish. More of a pale ale in my opinion, try again Abita.

UPDATED: DEC 31, 2008 Cask at Barcade. Deep orange beer, cloudy/hazy. Aroma is loaded with rich orange/tangerine over a soft bready maltiness. Flavour is very hoppy and rich but not all that bitter. Soft pine and grapefruit. Balanced and quite tasty. Very delicious... just what the doctor ordered.
12 oz bottle. Deep amber beer, off-white head. Very cloudy. Aroma is quite lovely, sweet orange peel, grapefruit and a nice soft caramelly malt base. Flavour is well-balanced with a light lingering breadiness on the back. Moderate bitterness and a lingering piny finish. Nice beer, especially from these guys.

Bottle received via trade with swoopjones. Pours clear amber with a small, frothy, off-white head, diminishing with spare lacing. Aroma is average malt (bread, grain, meal), average hops (flowers, pine, citrus), light yeast (sweat) with notes of peach. Light bodied, thin texture, average carbonation, and a bitter finish. Average duration, light sweetness, moderate acidity and bitterness.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 BMan1113VR (7381) - Los Angeles, California, USA - FEB 28, 2009
Pours with a small, foamy, white head that fades over a hazy, penny colored body. Aroma of light citrus hops, tangy orange, caramel, soggy malts and pine nuts. Taste is a bit bitter, without any good flavor hops. Caramel and watery. Not complex or interesting. Just a brewer going through the motions. Dry and fizzy.
2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 daknole (7204) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - OCT 1, 2008
bottle from total wine. Orange color wtih an off white head. Aroma is sweet and sticky for an IPA. Taste is watery, too sweet and too malty. This one would be so much better with some more hops. This one is overrated IMO.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 CaptainCougar (7093) - Columbia, Maryland, USA - MAR 3, 2008
Pours a transparent bright copper with a large airy, spotty-lacing off-white head. Aroma of lightly sweet toasted malt and some piny resinous hops. Body starts lightly sweet and toasty malty with some fairly fresh piny bittering and flavor hops before a crisp, drier finish. Hops aren’t quite as assertive as I like in an IPA, but this one’s quite drinkable and smooth.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 Sammy (7041) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 17, 2008
Pours peachy with foaming head that dissapears. A bit of hop aroma. Some fruity citrus hop taste at first, and then watered down. Drinkable stuff. Serviceable IPA.Recently found at Premiere Gourmet. Strong carbonation.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 3fourths (6958) - Vilnius, LITHUANIA - JAN 10, 2008
UPDATED: APR 24, 2008 IPA rating #300. Has a billowy off-white head that stacks up about an inch on this beer. "Very attractive" you should say with a squawk. Nose of birch and juniper scented citrus hops, with a lighter presence of ginger-pine hops. A strange smell for sure. Wet, moderately thick, lush up front, with a flavor that pauses for a second before developing into a strange ginger, pine sap and juniper berry flavor. Part of me finds it unappetizing and part of me likes it, so I don’t know what to think.
