jcwattsrugger (3862), Florida and, New Jersey, USA Jun 14, 2008 12 oz bottle-pours a big foamy off white head that laces and amber color. Aroma is nice citrus hops, secondary medium malt. Taste is citrus hops, secondary medium malt. A good cross over, mostly English style, IPA. OK/mild carbonation. Thanks to Joe-jwc215 for sharing.
Biddle_Brau (135), Midland Park, New Jersey, USA Aug 26, 2008 Amber with thin off-white head. Malty aroma with slight citrus aroma. Mild hop bitterness balances well with malt. Not a big IPA when comparing to West coast IPAs but decent LiebeBier (744), RIchmond, Virginia, USA Aug 24, 2008 Bottle - I was suprised to see that Abita had an IPA offering. Aroma is of the overly sweet malt variety that I do not prefer in an IPA. A "balanced" beer with overly sweet flavor. Perhaps if they would up the hop aroma and flavor it would temper the sweetness a bit. 502Flavors (219), Kentucky, USA Aug 23, 2008 On tap at a local bar. I was on the fly so I will give this only a brief review: it was a strange beer because it had some really appealing hop character on the aroma and flavor, but at the same time it had this almost nauseating character to it, almost like when you get a fountain soda and it has to much syrup. It just seemed a bit like the malt character was fake and syrupy and overdone in that fashion. Overall: not horrible by any means, but confused. doubleo (743), San Diego, California, USA Aug 22, 2008 12oz bottle. Pours clearish amber with a good size, offwhite head, specks of lace. Smells mild and sweet citrus hoppy, malts as well. Tastes malty and sweet up front with a sweet citrus hop finish. Not very bitter, but still balanced and tastes good. Medium body, good carbonaiton. mabel (1633), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Aug 21, 2008 [1601-20080816] 12floz bottle. Mild grains aroma has some floral notes. Clear, amber brown body with quick white bubbles. Mild floral grains flavour has some sweetness and some wood notes. Medium body. Average.
