2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pretty average offering from Abita. Typical Abita overtones, and this has a weird aftertaste. They are definitely riding the IPA bandwagon on this one, as this is a very marginal beer.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Dark amber. Light tan to orange head. Hop nose. Mostly malt and caramel aroma. Some hop, grapefruit. Bitter. Sweet. Too malty for an IPA.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle to glass. Pours a dark amber. Good amount of off white head that lasts. Aroma is caramel malts, honey and grass. Not much hop aroma. Taste is caramel malts, some grass and pine. Mild bitterness. Palate is medium body, medium carbonation. Not a bad beer, just not very hoppy for an IPA.

3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Clear brilliant amber with a foamy pillowy off-ivory head. The aroma is sweet and hoppy candy like, with some grapefruity zest and orange pulp, a touch of slightly vegetal pine, leads of caramel, and a earthy floral resin. Lovely smelling IPA. Unfortunately the taste falls a bit short. Nothing bad, just kinda ’meh’ with an odd creaminess at the start. Has some pine and floral resin with a bit of malty caramel and grapefruity undertones, but it’s just got this weird lightness about it I can’t explain. Pity.

Not a normal IPA. From the first taste it just tasted different, I had no idea what it was but it was really good would buy again.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
nice malty and floral in the nose. The beer starts sharp and flowery. The mainpart in a bit malty. But too undefined. Refreshing, not really sweet, great hoppy bitter in the end but has a lack of flowery aroma.
Easy to drink but not very deep in aroma. --> 10/12/10/10

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
12 oz bottle from Tipsy’s. Light amber, clear appearance with a sticky, off-white head. Aroma of stale hops, floral notes, butterscotch, earth, light citrus and sweet malts. Similar flavor, bittersweet and buttery with a slick, creamy feel. Average body with light carbonation. This is flawed and possibly past it’s prime, although, the ’best by’ date is illegible.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pours golden orange with a small head. Slight citrusy hop aroma. Very malty and light on hop flavor for an IPA. Almost an amber IPA flavor.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
bottle poured a orangish color with white head. medium hop aroma and some malt. the hops were somewhat citrus in nature but mild enough even for a beginner. the flavor is mild for an ipa and excellent for a beginner trying to figure out what they like or don’t like. this is not a bad ipa but drinkable and decent.
