COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The newest Abita brew takes its name and inspiration from the Mardi Gras Indians of New Orleans. Looking for Indians on Mardi Gras Day is a tradition for many New Orleans families. A cultural phenomenon familiar to residents of the Crescent City, the Mardi Gras Indians are not well known to outsiders and Abita is proud to help share their story with the world.

A strange sour aroma to this. The flavor on this is just a bit funkified. Some maltiness in the finish, but mostly not that good.

Pours an amber color with caramel white head. Smells of citrus, bitter hops, sweet malt and some spice. Taste is sweet malt upfront with a slightly bitter end. Notes of citrus, pine and spice are present.

Orange ipa. Corpo leggero, buon bilanciamento tra malto e luppolo, buon profumo di luppoli usa. Molto beverina! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Golden-copper color with ok white head. Light bready flavor with light earthy sharpness. Lightly floral aroma. Overall lacks distinguishable character.

12oz bottle served into a Great Divide pint glass. Review from notes: A - Pours a copper orange with 2 fingers of rocky head with average retention. Very little lacing left behind. S - Sweet crystal malts, citrus hops, bready aroma. T - Matches the nose with sweet grainy malt, hints of caramel, citrus pith bitterness, doughy yeast, pine comes out as it warms. Hops come through stronger on the finish. M - Thin feel with medium carbonation. Nothing wrong with this, just an average IPA. I could take it or leave it. Serving type: bottle 08-21-2012

A decent ipa. Not a fan of Abita and this one is okay. It is really unique ipa. Smells really strange. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Nice pour, foamy head, dark orangish brown. Aroma isn't complex, barely a hint of hops. First sip clean, a little bitter. Not much aftertaste. Easy drinking. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

IPA glass. Pleasant hops aroma that’s just a tad bit sweet. Dirty copper color with a thick head and good lacing. A really nice easy drinking beer. Its not overpowering in any way, just a nice blend.

Can sample at a tasting at Dancing Camel. Thanks zvikar. Clear reddish brown with white head. Sweet aroma with faint smoky undertones and some candy, tastes sweet, a little lychee, then a little old dryness. Sticky, medium body, mild carbonation.

2013 bottle to a pint glass. Pours a honey amber color with a white foamy head. Aroma is sweet and floral with a little malt and caramel coming through. Taste is subdued for an IPA. The malt overpowers the hops, which is a little floral tasting and only slightly bitter. Mouthfeel is medium and a little slick. Tastes like a well hopped amber ale. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
