mcc5468 (28), USA May 2, 2008 Poured a rich copper color with a nice head. Aroma was great - very nice citrus smell. The taste was disapointing. The color, head, and aroma gave me high hopes but the taste didn’t follow in line. I was expecting more hops but they just weren’t there. In the end I would classify it as an average IPA.
ross (1503), charlotte, North Carolina, USA Jul 22, 2008 Another beer from Sean. Even though I can buy these locally, I chose to have Sean send me one because I felt sorry for him since he lives in Nashville. Maybe he will waste his money on a new Paul Gay Smith guitar. This one pours out a brown color, without much of a head. Sweet and fruity smelling with some hops infused. Taste is decent, smooth and refreshing. Kind of hoppy, but not a lot. Interesting enough, but not something I would want to drink a lot of. BelgianBeerGal (862), Sabbatical in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA Jul 22, 2008 Bottled. Better than average beer but not really a great IPA. The bitterness was a little harsh and flat. No real characteristic to the bitterness, just seemed like bitterness for bitterness sake. Better than a regular beer though. Juancho (183), New York, New York, USA Jul 21, 2008 Bottle from Whole foods.
Pours nice copper color, very thin head. Aroma of yeast and hop, flavor is much better, decently hopped and well carbonated. A refreshing brew that was surprisingly better than I expected. PorterPounder (2767), Tallahassee, Florida, USA Jul 19, 2008 Tallahassee, Fl. - Leon Pub - 12 oz bottle. Bright orange pour with a thin, but sticky white head. Odd aroma - some toe jam , a bit of peach marmalade. Flavor is a bit muddled with some sticky apricot notes, some cake mix sweetness and maple syrup. Missing that citrusy bite usually associated with IPAs. Mouthfeel is thick enough. Misses the mark just slightly. ElGaucho56 (353), USA Jul 16, 2008 Pours a lighter amber with mildly frothy head, some lacing. Nose of sticky caramel malts, some piney residue. More pine on the palate, orange juice citrus character, ends somewhat wooden with a very mild bitterness. A decent IPA.
