COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Abita Lemon Wheat is a crisp, refreshing beer made with lemon peel for a fresh citrus taste and aroma. This unfiltered brew has a hazy, golden color and it made with lager and wheat malts. Centennial hops and Biere de Garde yeast.

Hazy golden color with white sheen. Big lemon peel, dough, dry floral, coriander aromas. medium body, average carbonation. Tart lemon flavors with white bread, dry spices---not bad

Pour is a hazy yellow with a large white head. Aroma is nice. Plenty of wheat malt with a lemony back round. Flavor lets this one down. Definitely a wheat malt base but almost none of the lemon. Turns into a boring wheat beer real fast.

Pint on tap at Keystone in Hyde Park. Surprisingly floral flavor. A lot of jasmine. Mostly clear paler yellow color. Thin white head. Pretty good thicker lace. Medium body. Smooth, kind of crisp lighter carbonation. Lightly sticky in the finish. Lemon, floral jasmine wheat flavor. Moderate sweet taste, nothing cloying. Lightly zesty. Liked this quite a bit more than expected.

Doughy, lemony aroma -- lightly tangy, lightly sweet, low hops. Foggy, pear-gold. Squat, Abita twistoff longneck. A little floral, low bitterness, lightly chemical, dry, modestly tangy, a bit on the bland side. Medium-light body, proper carbonation, the finish is a little astringent with lemon pith and it gets clingy. This isn’t my favorite Abita. World Market.

Bottle: Thin, watery, no body. More like lemon water than beer. Food Pairing: To quench hot & spicy foods.

Bottle. Really nasty tasting. Aroma is wheat, straw, hay, lemon. Cloudy yellow color with a good head.

Draft sample - cloudy straw yellow pour with thin white head. Aroma is light, slightly malty, artificial lemon note (reminiscent of what I might use to clean the bathroom) and not much else...bleh! Flavor is slightly better...I guess I can see how this might be refreshing on a hot summer day (which it is, just that I’m in a dark, air conditioned restaurant)...lemony wheaty flavor as the name suggests...picking up elements of the BdG yeast. Palate has something going for it and isn’t bad for what it is. Compared to some of its peers, this isn’t half bad, but that sadly doesn’t translate to ’good’...

Solid summer beer, good for a hot day. light mouthfeel, lemon sent goes to obviously lemon flavor. Not sweet which is good, wish it was thicker.

Strong wheat aroma and flavor. A small hop finish but does really totally cut the dry wheat mouthfeel. This is pretty unique and not bad.

12oz bottle 6/16/13 (Binny’s Mix A Six)-40° in Shaker-Pours a slightly cloudy orangish yellow with a small white head. Aroma of citrus and wheat. Taste of citrus and wheat. This light bodied brew is not bad but was expecting more.
