GBBF Day 1. Bottle share. Hazy gold beer, small white head. Palate is light and crisp. Tasty floral lemon. That’s about that. Simple but tasty. Light crisp finish.

Bottle @ home picked up at Wilbur’s Fort Collins. Pours a hazy yellow appearance with a white head. Zesty lemon peel, vanilla, spicy yeasty, wheat aroma. Tangy, sweet cracker, wheat, bready/cereal, vanilla, lightly tart lemon flavor. Pretty easy to drink but nothing too special.

Bottle from Beer Run. Pours a hazy yellow color with a medium sized fizzy white head. Fair head retention. Aroma of candied citrus and wheat. The taste is tart citrus and mild wheat. Thin and watery, muddled and almost seems a bit dirty.

Bottle from Capone’s. Pours turbid dark gold with 1-finger clingy white head. Looks good. Nose is lemon zesty pale malt, hops, some yeasty andd spicy notes. Tastes dry, white peppery and coriandery spicy, with lemony citrus and pale malt, and some finishing hops and malty sweetness. This one is good.

Bottled. Poured pale golden with a short white head. The aroma picked up slightly-sweetened lemon juice and tart peel over soft biscuit and wheaty notes. The flavor found bitter lemon and odd dank notes throughout (perhaps from the yeast), with grainy wheat support.. more hop-like lemon and grassy bitterness on the finish. Light-bodied with a grainy/scratchy flow through the palate.. this just wasn’t very enjoyable.

12oz bottle pours with a gold body that has a slight haze and supports a thin bright white head. The mild aroma has candied lemon, mild sugary malts and a wheat sensation. The taste starts off with grassy lemon grass that has an odd mix of wheat and sweet lime hard candy going along with it. In the background is a faint saccharin chemical sweetener sensation. Not too bad though.

Bottle. As I suspected, this came off as a thin, dull wheat beer laced with a non-sour, non-tart, artificial lemon kiss of flavouring. Finish was papery dry. If there are hops in here, it is on a parts-per-million scale.
