Abita Light is uniquely hand-crafted using 100% all natural ingredients: malted barley, the finest hops, German lager yeast and pristine Abita Springs water. The result is the smoothest, most flavorful light beer you will ever taste.

ABR 2007. Grainy body and body without much going on. A little harsh on the finish.

Pour is ginger ale yellow-ish and highly, highly carbonated. The small ring of bubbles that was supposed to be head faded fast. Aroma is of pale, weak hops. Flavor is all you can expect from a light beer, mostly water, and high carbonation. Very very disappointing.

The only bad thing in the party pack. Light beer with earthy flavor......dirt ?. This has to be one of my least favorite light beers

picked up as part of a abita variety pack. pours clear with a gold tint, average head which diminished quickly. aroma is very light, maybe some hint of sweet barly. taste was thin and crisp, not a lot of depth to this one. not a horrible light, just not very memorable.

Smells terrible but great as a thirst quencher after mowing the yard or some other hot outdoor activity. Not much after the first gulp though.

Bottle. Ordered at corner bar on Bourbon Street, September 2006. Poured a plae golden color with thin head. Aroma is grainy, crisp. Flavor is very low profiled, watery, light hops. This was enjoyable on a warm day, but would most likely not order again.

On tap at Mullats in New Orleans. I like light beer so I liked this one. Better than the mass produced light beers that are usually available when we go out. Liked the Amber a little better but would order the Abita Light again anytime.

Bottle. Dont really know why I even tried this since I dont like light beers. I do however like most of Abitaís brews. Actually not bad for a light beer, but I prefer something with more taste. Gold color, quickly dissipating head, no real lacing on glass, very little aroma. I guess if you really have to have a light beer this is as good as any, but that really isnt much of an endorsement, is it?

My favorite thirsty beer. So crisp, smooth. Little spice, but thatís not what this beer is for. If getting a quenched thirst, or not drinking something heavy is your goal, I see NO better beer than this. By far the best light beer Iíve ever tasted, mass market or otherwise. My only beef is that itís moderately expensive (Maryland) for what is after all, a light beer.
