Picked up in an Albertson’s in Baton Rouge, La. - 12 oz bottle. Pours an almost clear, light golden with absolutely no head. Aroma is not very apparent, slight hair tonic if anything. Flavor has some brief grassy notes, a hint of honey, and not much else. Mouthfeel is slighlty spritzy and dry - similar to some low carb efforts, overall, not very refreshing. Expected much more form Abita, kicking myself that I bought a whole six.

Bottle: Straw clear yellow with a thin white head. Fizzy body and mouthfeel, lightly sweet during the whole taste. Weak tasting.

Pours a light golden yellow color. Aromas of straw/grains. Not much else. No body, watery. My (Miller Lite Loving) friends I was having lunch with loved it.

Pours a light, almost clear golden. Aroma is non-existent. Tastes....hmm. Light a light beer. Not great, but Ive had a lot worse out there. Not really much distinction here though.

by far the worst abita beer that i have had. So i got this sampler to help out the brewery or so i assume. Little body, lots of water, what more is there really to say. In fact, it represents N.O. quite well.

UPDATED: MAY 13, 2006 Bottle. Sour barley aroma. Golden yellow color with little head. Sweet cornflake flavor - just a hint of bitterness. An average light beer.

Got this from the Abita sample pack. Pale gold in color with some hopcit aroma. Nothing great here, but a notch above BMC swill. This is a suitable lawnmower candidate.

Cornfield (5277) - Oak Forest, Illinois, USA - JUN 24, 2006
UPDATED: NOV 27, 2007 A ridiculous waste of barley malt, hops, yeast, and the water that it so closely resembles. With a barely detectable sweet malt aroma, this watery drink has a diluted malt flavor with very little in the way of hops. I followed it up with a glass of water, just as refreshing and three dollars cheaper on the menu.

Bottle. So this is the last part of a slummin’ with light beers night. Pour is a little darker (yellow) than the previous ratings, but head is virtually nonexistent. Aromas are a robust mix of straw and grain (well, by robustI mean for the company this keeps.) Flavor is an annoyingly sweet mix of malt and straw... not even grass, but that sweet and obnoxious smell you get from an old bale of slightly wet straw. Still, in comparison with some of its AB peers, this is a best in class for the night. I won’t be back ever again, but my Abita Light experience wasn’t completely awful.

12 oz bottle from sampler pack.Typical light beer. Little or no flavor. This beer is like making love in a canoe. Don’t know how far you’re allowed to go language wise in the ratings, so if you don’t know what this means, you’re on your own.
