COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Abita Red Ale is a traditional red ale. It is brewed with British pale and crystal malts, Liberty hops and an ale yeast imported from Ireland. This ale has a rich ruby color, lacy collar, pronounced caramel flavor and is a tad "hoppier" than our other brews. Available March thru June.

A norhing special red. Had worse had better. Nothing wrong with it. Just didn’t do anything for me.

Not great, but nothing to try and avoid. Very hoppy finish as mentioned before, which is very nice, but not much in the body to really excite me.

Not my favorite of the Abita line, but has an extremely distinct taste (even amongst red ales). I appreciate the aftertaste the most, but the falvor of the beer itself becomes tired after a while. It is a seasonal beer (the spring, after abita bock), and is definatley worth buying.

I was expecting a little more, but overall I enjoyed this beer. Nice hoppy finish. Great reddish color. Not the best ale I’ve had, but well worth purchasing.

very nice flavor, was smooth and not too heavy. this is fine beer to drink to enjoy a nice beer, but not fill up too fast.

Not bad, but it didn’t appease me as much as I had hoped. Very clear amber/red color in the mug leaving generous lace. The body carried a medium sweet/malt flavor with a heavy hop finish. I’m not much of a hophead so it was a bit too much for my palate.
