COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
It may sound nuts, but most ales with nutty flavors or aromas are made without any real nuts. Abita Pecan Harvest Ale is made with real Louisiana pecans. The natural oils from the nuts give the ale a light pecan finish and aroma. Itís wonderful paired up with both red meats and seafood - and no suprise itís great with nuts too. Abita Pecan Harvest Ale, crack one open for yourself today.

Very strong pecan nut flavor. Clear, no head. Delicious. Low carbonation. Light body.

Pours a medium brown. Aromas of wheat bread, caramel, and a touch of something metallic. Flavor is malty/metallic without a lot of character.

Aroma: lightly sweet and malty; Appearance: in bottle - did not actually see; Taste: unremarkable, but in a good way; easy drinking and malty; Palate: medium, sweet finish; Overall: nice and boring; would buy again.

Free mostly malts with a slight hint of pecans. The deep amber color. Taste mostly malts some grain slight slight pecan hit in the foam. Body almost flat for the carbonation. Where is pecan beer Iíve ever had. Like your other stuff maybe this one was expired not my favorite.

I was a nervous excited to try this, knowing I donít love pecan flavored things, but that this couldnít possibly taste like only pecans, and I was relieved to see that it didnít. Thereís enough of a hint to know itís a strange brew of sorts, but plenty of your typical beer ingredients to remind you this is just a fun experiment that youíd want to drink again.

I didn't take any extra notes when I tried this beer for the first time but I'm gonna try it again and update my comments. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Clear light amber. Fluffy white head. Nutty. Toast. Caramel. Semi dry. Pleasant modest sweetness. Nutty, toasty finish. No bitterness. Fine.

Smell is weird on first blush, different though...pecan and sweetness....good! Taste is less sweet and good, flat on carbonation though...still not bad...but one dimentional on flavor

Pours an amber from a bottle, slightly skunky aroma, flavor somewhat cloying like an amber, but not overly sweet, somewhat bitter, but not from hops, likely from the nuts. Not terribly nutty either. Meh.

Found in the seasonal section of my favorite local distributor, decided it sounded interesting enough to try. Try is all I would want to do with this brew, not bad but no strong points except perhaps the dark gold/amber color. Almost no head, with a little lacing. Aroma is that of a pecan pie being baked. Flavor is lightly sweet with virtually no bitterness. Very light bodied and a bit weak and watery. finishes drags out with notes of fresh pecans.

Real nutty aroma and taste. It definitely has more of a nut flavor which Iím not sure is a good thing.
