2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Absolutely gorgeous on the eyes - rich red color with a thick head when poured from a bottle into a 20 oz tulip. Very, very slight nuttiness on the nose. Crisp, clean mouthfeel, almost like a big production lager. Flavor was "meh" at best - not much to it. My Bud Light-drinking wife loved it.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 9/20
Maple in color, medium, quickly dissipating head. Nutty aroma as expected. Flavor was thin and watery for something advertising pecans. A bit more turned up in the finish as it warmed...probably a gateway beer for a Sam Smithís, at best.

Ok so it good but is not a beer that blows you away in anyway but it does have a cool nut flavor. Pour is chestnut in color with a small white head. Aroma very lite but pleasant and nutty. A lite body easy drinker that has little to no hop presence but it does have nuts lol.

Didn't find pecans in this beer, maybe slight notes in aroma . However, not bad ale. Caramel sweetness in taste isn't annoying. Good , though nothing special.

Bottle. Pours a orangish copper color. Aroma and taste are a little nutty and brown sugar.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a clear dark orange with a foamy khaki head that settles to an oily film on top of the beer. Small streaks of lace form around the glass on the drink down, some sediment at the bottom. Smell is of toasted malt, toasted nuts, and some slight caramel aromas. Taste is much the same but there is a mild burnt bitterness with each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp mouthfeel. Overall better than expected.

Deep reddish brown pout with a lingering head. Smells hoppy and toasted. I donít know how to describe this. Itís like itís trying too hard. Iím a craft beer damn it! You love me! Iíve got fucking nuts, real nuts in me!
Just doesnít do it for me.

3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Iím not really getting much pecan out of this...for an amber, itís pretty solid. The aroma not much to write about; however, some light caramel flavors and slightly chew malt notes make up the taste profile. Finish is pretty clean with no flaws. No over the top by any means, but nothing to seek out either...

This smells a lot like pumpkin. The taste of the malt is very bready with a certain smooth nuttiness on the finish. The beer is not very bitter at all and is reminiscent of a 90-shilling ale or a very light porter. It is the best brew Iíve tasted from Abita.
