COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
It may sound nuts, but most ales with nutty flavors or aromas are made without any real nuts. Abita Pecan Harvest Ale is made with real Louisiana pecans. The natural oils from the nuts give the ale a light pecan finish and aroma. Itís wonderful paired up with both red meats and seafood - and no suprise itís great with nuts too. Abita Pecan Harvest Ale, crack one open for yourself today.

12 ounce bottle. nice copper body with a nice white head that had good retention and hardly any lace. Aroma had a strong bread malt base upfront mild caramel malts and a heavy nut presence. Flavor had a good balance between bread malts and a strong nutty flavor than the description implies. Light and easy to drink. All though it was two-dimensional and a little light it does make a good session beer. Would drink again.

Tap. Pours a transparent amber with a thin layer of off white head. Aroma and taste of malts and a hint of nuts.

Pretty good, not my favorite. No flavor overload and pretty smooth. Easy to drink, would drink again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a crystal-clear reddish amber with a tan head. The aroma is bright slightly floral but with a distinct passionfruit or berry note. The taste is very much forward sweet through out with some underlying subtle bitterness coming through at the end just to give it a little bit of an offset the nuttiness comes through although subtle. very drinkable ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Very reminiscent of some of the European chestnut ales. Slightly nutty aroma, some brown sugar. Taste is flat and dry, mildly sweet.. Dull appearance, flat finish.

Good color and nice nutty character. it is unique for sure but nothing to make it truly stand out from the nut brown category. However a success for Abita.

Appearance: this beer pours with a huge beige head that takes a while to pour down, the beer is a nice amber color that is really clear Aroma: faint caramel, possibly some pecan, Taste: very light maltiness, kind of bland, pecans are faint but noticeable on the finish, some bitterness on the finish Palate: slight bitter aftertaste, soft carbonation, light mouthfeel Overall: kind of a bland beer, nothing bad about it but leaves you wanting more flavor, looks really good in the glass though ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12 ounce bottle. Bright amber orange color. Large rocky beige head. Rich toasted malt nose with subtle pecan and caramel notes. Soft caramel malt flavor. More toasted nut flavor, though quite subtle. Mid taste is tangy and slightly bready. Buttery malt finish with some grassy hops.
