Medium gold color, slightly pinkish and slightly cloudy. Small to no head. Aroma is raspberry at the start but fades to a little maltyness. A fairly typical and very average fruit wheat beer. Berry flavor is mild and pretty subdued, it is also a little too sweet, so it just as well the flavor is mild. Pretty average. Mouthfeel is neutral. Finish is clean. Aftertaste s slightly bitter.

Not bad. The raspberry taste is not at all overwhelming. A great summer beer. At first the raspberry flavor is somewhat strong, but the wheat beer style keeps it from tasting overly sweet.

Arrrgh! Why do I always buy these? Oh yeah, my girlfriend likes them. Iíll usually take a couple sips to say Iíve tried it, and she gets the rest. Funny, because she also likes stouts and other non-flavored ales. This stuff is ok, but typically weak and dominated by the raspberry flavor. Iím not against flavoring beers, but this is kinda lame. So far Abita is disappointing.

Good balanced brew. The rasberry is faint which allows the wheat taste to shine.

Nice fruity nose, with pretty good head. Very charged up with carbination. A little bit on the cream side with the finish. Not my style.

Someone once told me that
this beer was brewed with
grapefruit juice and went 13% ABV.
No! Back to reality:

Pinkish tint to the color, very little head, lots of rasberry in the aroma, fairly light in body, rasberry flavors werenít too over-powering, decent seasonal wheat beer

This beer was an almost pinkish orange color with a small white head that didnít hold and left little lace. It had a light aroma of grain and raspberry. The flavor was lightly of raspberry and a bit tart. The finish was light with a bit of the tartness. A fairly weak beer for this style, but okay for a summer session brew I suppose.

OK, this is no Lindemanís Cassis, but itís not $5.95 a bottle, either. You get what you pay for, dude. All in all, this beer isnít all that sweet, and raspberries are only moderately evident in the taste. Middle-of-the pack fruit beer. Marin Brewing, Spanish Peaks, Sam Adams and even Florisgaarden have better fruit brews than this.
