UPDATED: JUL 26, 2003 I had really high hopes, and was sorely disappointed. The raspberries are kind of an afterthought, a little sour and bitter, comes off like a blond ale, but something was lost in my batch I think.

Very cloudy and huge head. The raspberry is very pronounced, but not overbearing. It was a unique taste that really was better than I expected. I think the major problem I saw was that the beer is actually a bit skunky and bitter. The fruit flavor takes that edge off, however, and really is a decent break from the norm.

Wheat beer yes, rasberries NO. Pours in with a nice white head. Might be a good wheat beer but without rasberry flavor.

Weak unpronounced flavors. My batch was skunky.

A nice light beer for a summer day. Reddish color, minimal head. Good balance as it is a light beer with no off tastes and a raspberry finish. Wheat beer, fruit beer and lite beer lovers should enjoy.

Medium gold color, slightly pinkish and slightly cloudy. Small to no head. Aroma is raspberry at the start but fades to a little maltyness. A fairly typical and very average fruit wheat beer. Berry flavor is mild and pretty subdued, it is also a little too sweet, so it just as well the flavor is mild. Pretty average. Mouthfeel is neutral. Finish is clean. Aftertaste s slightly bitter.

Not bad. The raspberry taste is not at all overwhelming. A great summer beer. At first the raspberry flavor is somewhat strong, but the wheat beer style keeps it from tasting overly sweet.

Arrrgh! Why do I always buy these? Oh yeah, my girlfriend likes them. I’ll usually take a couple sips to say I’ve tried it, and she gets the rest. Funny, because she also likes stouts and other non-flavored ales. This stuff is ok, but typically weak and dominated by the raspberry flavor. I’m not against flavoring beers, but this is kinda lame. So far Abita is disappointing.

Good balanced brew. The rasberry is faint which allows the wheat taste to shine.
